    Poor

My rating says it all. I travel for work and stay at many hotels. This is the first time I received a clean towel from maid service with fecal ( poop) on it. It was disgusting. Next , I let the hotel know I had major foot surgery in January and was still in rehab . I also let them know I was coming to celebrate my birthday and would be visiting Universal and may need assistance with my foot. They assured me they would help. I found out there word is not there bond. My foot swelled after the first day and I requested two ice packs. I got one and was told there was a 2 ice pack limit. What? REREAD if you missed it . A 2 ice pack limit . I was told to freeze the ice pack I got and reuse them. Note on the ice packs it tells you NOT to freeze and reuse. So the hotel knows better than the manufacturer of the product on how to use it! I have stayed in both a Disney and a Universal in the park hotel. I can say Disney caress about its guests while Universal cares about money.

    Great to be back

This was our second time staying at Sapphire Falls and it was even better than the first. From the minute we checked in everyone was so friendly and helpful. The foyer area is beautifully spacious and clean as was our room with lagoon view. We love the boat rides round to CityWalk which are always very quick and you never have to wait long. The Strong Water Tavern is also lovely place to relax with great staff and stunning views. Highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return.

    Beware of hidden charges

Hotel was nice vacation was nice room was clean. My original bill got a $600 add on fee ($100 a night) to give you spend at the park and the staff doesn’t even ask if it’s ok charge. Got charged for an extra 3 nights of staying here on top of the original bill. Beware of this hotel I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Almost like thieves.

    Has potential to be great

This resort is lovely and has great location to the Universal parks. Lobby and public spaces are great - we arrived at busy check in time on holiday and did not have to wait. Now for the concerns. Water Taxi was a very slow process. We waited 30+ minutes for one to arrive - long lines waiting on the dock with no air movement but one fan. They need to take notes from Disney and really work on cooling the dock. Lots of cranky kids on a 100 degree day. You can walk to IoA in much less time in the shade. The biggest concern was the water situation. When you turned on the shower it would take 10-60 seconds for water to come out. Once it started coming out, it was terrible trickle of water pressure. One time, it took multiple times of turning off and on the water to get any hot water to come out. You'll find this in many reviews so it's not a maintenance issue - appears to be a design flaw. I tried to report water issues via text and no one responded for several hours. Swimming Pool - I had some concern about how well they filter/refill the pools. The water felt like bath water. It was far too warm for swimming on a 100 degree day which usually means they are not refilling with fresh water. I had the same issue with the Hard Rock Hotel pool on this split stay. Both of these pools had sand in certain areas of the deck and people trek the sand into the pool. The sand makes the pool cloudy - add the hot water and the whole pool situation felt icky - not refreshing. The standard room is small - do not recommend for anymore than 2 adults - I would not recommend for a full family.

    Great place to stay.

Love the hotel. We would stay here every time if it came with the Express Pass. Everyone did an excellent job. From check-in to check-out we have enjoyed our time here. Jerry at the pool, Kathleen at Strong Waters, and Collin at check-in we had exceptional service. Thank you for a great vacation!
