Rock On - Be Nice Fair & Honest in Everything You Do
Had a most excellent time at the Hard Rock Orlando FL. 9-18-20 to 9-21-20. Stayed with Daughter, Son-in-law and Grand Kids. Here is the deal.. Food was Most Excellent. Pool staff and Pool Bar Personnel over the top accommodating. (Kristen) On-site restarunts also great, good service and hot food. Had a bit of a tussle with a checkin fella. He was "over the top" about masks. All had masks on. He singled me out with mask not totally over the very bottom mouth, but I was drinking in the lobby & he kinda freaked out. Told him I was taking a drink and he still was oddly persistent, as I was headed to the restroom. It ended with me calling him out about my profession and knowing all about COVID and that I personally was here at Hard Rock to de-compress. We have been here at Hard Rock Orlando Many times. Love the place, atmosphere, pool, cabanas, children pool & water slide, food. Parks and City Walk are right at your back door. Lots of fun if thats what you want to make with you, and your friend or family. One bad apple don't spoil the bunch. :)
Okay visit, needs work especially for price
Stayed this past weekend with family. We stayed in the future rock stars suite. This is a suite that was remodeled to have two rooms so your kids can have an area to sleep. At first look it was great and nicely done. However when they remodeled the room the failed with the AC. Our kids about froze while we were left sweating. We texted the hotel (nice feature I’ll admit) to hopefully fix the issue while we were at the park. They left a fan for us which helped but that was it. Overall they are doing an okay job with the current pandemic. Wyndham Grand does a better job at keeping the hotel clean though. I used the lobby restroom and it was pretty bad. Mold and mildew on the floors, several toilets needed cleaning. This is your first impression when you arrive at the hotel and it wasn’t a good one. The pool and beach bar were nice and we enjoyed that area. The two best features of this hotel though are it’s proximity to the parks and the fast passes. Absolutely worth it just for that.
What an amazing weekend we had at this hotel, We enjoyed the Beach Club both nights we were there and had the best food and the BEST waiter ever, Shaw! He literally made us laugh the whole night, and NEVER did we need anything, he was on top of his game for sure! Can not wait to return!

What an amazing weekend adventure when the wait staff enjoyed your company as much as we enjoyed him! This man has a talent beyond Belief! Shaw showed us the upmost attention and customer service we have ever experienced in a resort! He made our stay totally memorable that we want to return and not go to the parks just go to the bar and pool!
Very Dissatisfied - Do not set expectations too high
I have stayed in better hotels for a lot less. If you are expecting a nice suite stay, please set your expectations to the level of basic Vegas hotel. It is nice for a hotel stay, but I feel like it is more of a basic hotel stay and you’re just paying for the express pass. The three bedroom suite (we have reserved at Disney hotels with no issues) is literally three adjoining basic hotel rooms. My mini fridge in my office is colder than the mini fridge in the room. Please do not think you will be able to keep meats and cheeses cold. The King suite does not even have a door to close, it is set up like an efficiency. When we called to inform the hotel that two members of our party will be there an hour before we arrived, we asked if they could go ahead and get the express pass as we are on the road and will be there shortly. The manager, Shaun, indicated that would not be an issue. Then when the two members arrived, they were required to put a card down. We then talked to Shaun and he said, “no you assumed” I was in shock! Then we asked if we could just give our card information over the phone (keep in mind they already had a card on file from the $800 to reserve the rooms) but Shaun said they needed a physical card. When we arrived, the computers were not working properly, guess what, they expected us to leave our card information written down, they didn’t need the physical card. And when we called to see if there were dryers to use to dry our clothes, we were told, laundry is located on the 2nd and 4th floors (we are in the 6th)...so we began our search for laundry facilities. I feel as if the communication within this hotel is lacking, big time! Almost like the employees assume the residents should already know where things are or how things work here. THEY assume! I can say the only plus has been Adam, from engineering. A HUGE SHOUT OUT to him! He has gone above and beyond to try and make our stay a little better. He brought us a new refrigerator and when the microwave we asked for (yes we had to request a microwave) came, it was just left at the door. No one even knocked... he picked it up and plugged it in to make sure it worked. And this is only our first night here, I am hopeful for a better day two! M.Lee
