Great location reaaly close to universal, very good hotel

We where there for 4 days, mainly booked because it is close to universal´s parks but we were surprised by how nice the hotel was, Everything is reaaly clean, all the colors make you feel conformtable, since the weather was terrible we did not walk to the parks and the buses where great, always available until late and very clean. The hotel parking space is paid separately and there is no breakfast (or at least we did not have any) but the hotel is reaaly close to everything so one day was I-hop and the other we had breakfast at the park. The hotel has car rental (Avis) available at the main entrance, there is also a starbucks and the laundry room has enough machines for 3 or 4 people. Since it was cold I did not use the pool which is gigantic. The staff is very friendly and helped us keeping our luggage while we left on our last day. Let´s not forget that you get extra hours in the parks for being a guest.

If you don’t like sleeping with bugs don’t stay here

We went with my daughter, wife and my wife’s Sister who flew up especially from Peru because she is the biggest Harry Potter fan for her once in a lifetime vacation. So we stayed at Universal Studios Surfside Inn and Suites for 4 days and got tickets to 2 of the Universal Studios theme parks. Location was great, and there was free shuttle service, but I’m pretty sure we only book for 4 people and not for the bugs that were crawling all over the hotel room from out of the walls in the bathroom piping that came out through the wall. They didn’t even comp us for our 4 day stay, and the manager said they would set us up for a free week stay in the future , but in a later email only offered a one day future stay. How grossed out would you be staying in a room full of bugs for 4 days. Yes, us too. Will never go back and will make sure we tell as many people we can on every social media platform to stay as far away from Surfside Inn and Suites as possible. Period.

    Nothing fancy, does the job

Hotel is large, clean, and convenient to get to and from Universal. Nothing fancy like charging stuff from the park to your room or having an all-in-one wristband that connects payments, tickets, and hotel key, but it does the job to have an enjoyable trip. Pool is large and heated so you can swim when it is a little colder. Bus stop right outside of hotel that takes you to City Walk, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. Rooms are good size, beds are comfortable, includes mini fridge and large tv.

    charged twice for hotel parking

I was charged twice for parking at the endless summer surside hotel, and the did not refound me. I sent a copy of my bank statement to every possible email address at the hotel and they did not take any action. I confirmed the double charge and showed the reception the mistake they made. The attendant apologized for what happened, and so far they haven't refunded me.

    Paper thin walls

Paper thin walls....... wanted to change room (could hear child outburst in other room) but was told I needed to complain in order for security to warn other clients. Did not want to complain about people, just wanted to change my room. Room overall clean, but bathroom not that great. Liked the bus service to parks. Wrote to manager, did not receive anything......
