SAFE AND CLEAN!!!
During this crazy time of Covid it’s difficult to know and understand what’s safe and what’s not. We felt SAFE during our visit. They definitely take this serious and do it so well and efficiently. Temp scans daily with color coded bracelets allowed you to come and go and know all is well. Sections of the food court being shut down in shifts for cleanings. Pool chairs and tables being sprayed and cleaned after use. Hand sanitizer is the rooms. All around we loved it!
Resort took Great Measures to keep guest safe frm Covid-19!
Security chking temperature, all employees wore mask @ all times, I tripled checked room, not a speck of dust Plus, chked bedding. Also, food is always great there & u can get full course meals @ very decent price.
Many Features Closed
Many of the hotel features are currently closed, understandable given the circumstances, but the hotel is still advertising and selling based on features that aren't currently present. For example, we booked a 'poolside suite' with exterior entry, so that we could have a simple/short walk out our room to the pool. When we checked in, we were informed that the pool with the exterior entry suites was closed. We had the option of either paying extra to stay in a non-poolside suite on the side of the resort with the open pool, or paying even more extra to stay in a poolside suite (really more of a 'pool view') on that side of the resort. It was disappointing to book based on the ability to stay in a poolside suite, only to get there and find them unavailable for intended use. Even more, having to pay extra to stay in a different room was, frankly, unacceptable. Until they open all the hotel features back up, I would definitely save my money and get a similar room at a non-Universal hotel, as many can be found with similar features for a much cheaper price. But beware, in the meantime they are advertising hotel features on the site that aren't actually available.
Get your Wallet Out
Yes resort has a lot of amenities but you will have to pay for everything. Bowling alley 45 minutes $13/pp plus tax, lazy river $15/pp, food court party of 3 $60 for lunch. Pool needs resurface had huge chunks missing from shallow floors, cracked tiles throughout pool looks very neglected. Staff very unfriendly other than check in. Oh and let’s not forget the circles you will need to go through in order to find a parking space you have to pay for parking $20/day. Not worth it.
