Definitely recommend
Changed my hotel from international drive to this hotel and 100% glad I did. Definitely recommend and would hopefully come back to this hotel one day again. It's just a beautiful place to stay. So easy to get to other places and great that volcano bay is 5 mins away.

Great for families with kids!
Great resort for families with kids. The Galaxy Bowling and the arcade inside the resort were a hit with our kids, ages 11 and 13. The resort has a good variety of food, drinks, and snack options. We loved the location of the resort, and the convenience of the free shuttle service to the Universal parks, and to CityWalk. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel experience
Some reviews made me doubt coming to this hotel, but the truth is everything was excellent, it exceeded my expectations, the customer service was very good, the ladies who provided excellent room service. I recommend this hotel to come and enjoy with the family.

Would not book again
The staff was very friendly but the food was horrible. The rooms are very outdated. The blankets in the rooms looked old and felt like curtains they were so thin. The water pressure when we took a shower was awful. You could hear everything through the walls. Our card keys had several issues. For the money you spend, the quality of things should be better. I would not book here again.

Disappointed by the room, but nice resort
We stayed 2 nights in November with 3 kids age 16, 14 and 12. First the negative: placed in a room on 4th floor, next to an elevator that was out of order. Asked to be changed room, which was done swiftly. The new room on the ground floor looked ok, but the bath paint was peeling off. Quite surprised, but since it was the only obvious flaw of this room, we kept it even if front desk offered another room. The sofa bed was surprising too. It wasn't a spring mattress, but rather a very thin foam mattress. It is a good thing my 12 year old is relatively small and light weight. When I tried it, for my adult weight, it felt like I was sleeping on a very hard surface, the mattress is just too thin. Otherwise, in the room, it was nice to have the bath in a separate room from the toilet, and having a sink that was also separated. Comes in handy when 5 people get up in the morning and need to get ready. The little kitchenette with a microwave was also a nice bonus. The pool/spa space was also quite nice. The weather was very cold but the pool was warm. The bayline diner food was quite good for the price (we tried the tuna), and the red Merlot was surprisingly good for the price too. The resort itself was nice. It's pretty big, which means walking from our room that was far in the back, to the diner, could take a little while. There was plenty of animation in the main lobby, we even saw some Minion characters there once. The bus service to Universal parks was also quite useful. We also tried walking but that was too long after a day at the Park.
