Well Taken Care of
The rooms are a little on the small side, but overall our stay was very nice. There are very clear and reasonable Covid-19 protocols enforced here. They have enhanced cleaning that is hallmark of Hilton brands, though they could go lighter on the stickers (seals the door to each cleaned room and wrapped around the remote). DirectTV offerings of channels are plentiful. This is valuable since some of the other leisure activities at hotels are limited due to the pandemic. The swimming pool is open, but you need to reserve a time slot to use it. The complimentary breakfast, while not gourmet, had a decent variety. Most hotels have severely scaled down their breakfast offerings. Here they had fresh fruit, pre-packaged omelets, hard boiled eggs, bagels, individual cereal packs, and more. Staff prepared bags of breakfast for you that you could eat in the limited dining area or take back to your room. They all wore gloves and took care to provide a reasonable meal for you during this unusual time. As a Hilton Honors member, the points redemption level was very reasonable; so it's a good bet that we'll stay here again when we're in the area.
Came to town for a family outing in strasburg chose to stay at this hotel, a little pricey for all that you get, may be better when covid finally goes away. At check in it seemed a little chaotic when I went to check in the woman working the desk said that the key card thing was down so we wouldn't have a room key right away, wasn't a big deal we were taken to our room by a very friendly gentleman. The room was very small, it didn't have a microwave which kind of sucked. I didn't have a coffee maker in my room either, I'm sure if I called they would have brought me one but I wasn't really concerned with it. On the plus side it was very clean. The lobby area was very nice too comfortable seating and had a couple foosball tables. If I were to revisit the area I would probably not return to this hotel though
Very Cool Hotel
We’re so glad we chose Tru on our visit to Lancaster. It’s a very hip hotel with cool decor & amenities. The tv was massive! My husband wasn’t thrilled with the free breakfast, but with COVID restrictions we appreciate having “takeout” boxes with little contact. We only wish the king room was a little bigger.
New, clean and great location
Stayed 2 nights. Found the re-thinking of the check-in area kinda cool (out on an island with all the provisions/snacks ringing the island). They do a good job with the breakfast - 1 hot option (some kinda egg thing), a bunch of cereal options, bagel and fruit. The room is very basic and kinda small but it was clean and I prefer the sleek layout. Overall stay was very good but they lose one star because of how poor the soundproofing is. Loud trucks driving up Lincoln highway sound like they're 10 feet from your room. And if you have a bunch of loud moe-moe hayseed kids who've never been to a hotel - running through the halls at midnight - it sounds like the herd is going to come crashing thru the door.
Stayed here for my son’s birthday to take him to see Thomas and Friends at the Stausburg Railroad. The rooms were a little cramp especially traveling with a toddler and a infant. However, the rooms were really clean. During Covid you could not get house keeping services unless you were staying four or more nights. I did miss this service. The pool was open but you had to make a reservation and breakfast was just a grab and go. One thing that did stick out about this hotel was the staff was extremely friendly which I a huge deal in my book when traveling.
