Big room at a low price

The hotel is a bit dated (compared to other hotels on the strip) but the rates were great! The room was very large and the bed was comfortable. The windows need to be washed and the bathroom doesn’t have a vent (maybe they didn’t do vents in the early 90’s?) most staff we interacted with were very nice.

If I could take some stars away from them, I would do it! We checked in on April 5th, and the plan was to check out on April 7th. On April 7th, I woke up with a very scary and laud bang on the door at 7 AM!! I was so shocked that I couldn't even find the light switch. I thought someone was attacking me!!! I asked who was at the door, and a guy said, " Security. Checking on the door" !!!! My heart was bitting so fast, and I was shaking. I looked outside, and there were 2 security guys removing all the key lucks from all the doors at 7 freaking AM!! I called the front desk and spoke with April, explaining the situation. She put me on hold for a minute and came back saying that she has contacted the security and they are saying they're not one who banged on the door. I told her I saw them and asked her to check the cameras. She agreed with hesitation and said she would call me back. She called me back in 15 minutes, confirming that infact it was security in she apologized, saying that she wasn't sure why they had started so early!!! I wasn't even able to describe how I felt. I got a massive headache, and I was still shaking from the shock. Now I have to drive back for 6 hou6with this headache, and I don't feel Ok at all. What kind of management is there to not know what's happening on the property !!! April offered me to refund the resort fee, which I do not understand why they charge that in the first place!! This place is not a resort with all means. This place offers nothing to be honest. They caused me massive distress and headache and ruined my whole trip. This experience was a nightmare. The management is not in charge of the operations on the property.

    Nice stay at TI

We spent 4 days/3 nights at Treasure Island last week. This was our 9th trip to Vegas and we usually stay at a different hotel each time. Room was basic but met our needs perfectly. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure, nice towels, mini fridge in-room. The location provided quick access to the Strip (not set far back from the Strip like some of the other hotels). Close to Fashion Show Mall and Venetian shops/dining. Easy to navigate within TI due to smaller size of resort. Nice to have a CVS on site. A convenience store on the 2nd level offers $1 coffee refills if you buy an $8 reusable cup. Bought it on my first morning and used it daily and probably saved myself $50 on Starbucks. We had breakfast at the Coffee Shop and enjoyed the eggs Benedict. Breakfast with a coffee runs about $20-25 USD/person. Service was very good. The pool area is nice and scenic with lots of palm trees, but no umbrellas are available so guests are often seen to be searching for a sliver of shade as the sun moves throughout the day. The main negative of this resort is the pool staff who are completely militant about not moving lounge chairs to access shade. We saw several guests attempt to pull a lounger to the shade and be immediately approached by pool staff to move it back. This included an elderly lady in remission from skin cancer who explained her situation to no avail. It’s very sad that Resort Management at this and many other resorts is so intent on nickel and diming guests to buy cabanas and day beds that they have completely removed any access to shade. Ridiculous. There were lots of families with small kids at this hotel but after observing this I would stay elsewhere if I was travelling with kids as it isn’t reasonable for people (especially children) to be in the full sun all day. Overall our stay was good and I would be comfortable recommending TI to others.
