    Beautiful and expensive

This hotel has everything you need: big rooms, exercise facilities, meeting rooms, catering, and a mall. It’s also within walking distance of most of the downtown attractions. The parking garage is huge, but some of the clearances are 6 feet 4 inches high. That’s a tight squeeze for a truck.

    Great Stay

I am a AMEX Marriott member, that had to use my free room certificate in a hurry, so I stayed here. It just a block from work, but I was impressed. Check in was fast and pleasant the staff was great. The room was large and modern the bed was so comfortable. I immediately fell asleep. The shower looked a little old and beat up, yet it was clean. I am a gold member, so I was offered late check out, Unfortunately I overslept, I called down and apologized. Front desk didn’t embarrass or chastise me. All in all a great stay. Hoping to stay again

    Good location, terrible billing practices

This hotel was in a good location for what we needed. The property at a whole felt a little dated, but the rooms were clean. Reservation was booked through American Airlines, was double charged after checkout and still fighting to get refunded. Just a warning to those who use third parties to closely watch your CC statement after checkout. I have status with Hyatt and Hilton and this is exactly why I avoid Bonvoy properties at all costs.

    Incredible team members

The front desk team members are incredible and this is the only place we'll stay when anywhere near Kansas City. Alissa is specifically amazing and we look forward every stay to seeing her and visiting with her. The rest of the team at the front desk are ALWAYS awesome! We love love love staying here not just because of the hotel itself but because of the team members. Great work ALL!

    flophouse quality room

We have been staying here since it opened in the 70s and it generally has been fine. But not this time. We were assigned room 1801 which has an elevator on the same wall as the room. It was quite that evening but about 4:30 am it began running, almost constantly, with a loud "thump" every time it stopped. This room should not even be in use, let alone on a night when the hotel was almost empty.
