Perfect Getaway
Have stayed at this property a few times and each time it gets better and better. The Front Desk staff is phenomenal, they gave us a celebratory bottle of wine for our recent engagement. The Beach Club is a MUST the vibes are perfect and it is hard to find properties with these amenities in Florida. Also, very easy to walk downtown and enjoy all that Sarasota has to offer!

Very Fun
This hotel is a great stay! Sarasota is also a lot of fun and is a great family destination. The beach club is very fun and getting a cabana is worth it. I also recommend going for a club-level room. All in all a great stay and would absolutely go again.

A Magical Wedding Weekend at The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota – Pure Perfection
We spent an unforgettable 3-day weekend at The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota for our son’s wedding, and I’m still floating. This hotel didn’t just meet expectations—it blew them out of the water. Every single moment was filled with luxury, warmth, and heartfelt hospitality. The rehearsal dinner was hosted on property and truly set the tone—it was perfection from start to finish. Gorgeous setting, outstanding service, and food that had our guests raving. The entire weekend was elevated by the Ritz's attention to detail and ability to make everyone feel like royalty. Let’s talk about the suite—because OMG. The bride and groom stayed in a Ritz-Carlton suite that was basically a mini apartment, and it was absolutely stunning. Spacious, beautifully designed, and completely flawless. I spent the day there with the bridal party, getting our hair and makeup done before the ceremony, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Natural light, plenty of space, mirrors galore—it was like it was made for a wedding morning. Honestly, I couldn’t find one single thing wrong with it. If you’re planning a wedding here, trust me—book the suite. Our housekeeper, Patricia, deserves her own standing ovation. She was so sweet, kind, and friendly every time we saw her—just a lovely person who made our stay feel that much more special. People like Patricia are what make Ritz-Carlton more than just a hotel. Let’s not forget the breakfast game—they had eggs, biscuits, and gravy, which happen to be my absolute favorite. YUM doesn’t even begin to cover it. That southern-style comfort food hit the spot every morning and fueled our very full hearts (and schedules!). My sister, brother, and niece were totally obsessed with the Beach Club. They raved about the views, the vibe, and the top-tier service. Sadly, I couldn’t sneak away because, you know—wedding stuff! But my husband and I are already planning our return so we can relax and enjoy all the amazing amenities we didn’t get to soak in this time around. From the stellar bar staff to the breathtaking property and warm, exceptional service, The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota was the perfect backdrop for such an important family celebration. We’re forever grateful for how beautifully everything came together—and we cannot wait to return.

Amazing Hotel!
We had an amazing experience at the Ritz Carlton. The minute we arrived staff members were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping staff were terrific. Everyone we met at the hotel were incredible and made us feel at home. The grounds were meticulously kept and the views were amazing. We highly recommend this hotel! John M and family.

Person at the Top: Please Figure Out Your Operations
The "Poor" rating of 2 stars is relative to the type of hotel the Ritz Sarasota claims to be. The service operation is a disaster. At check-in/check-out there is a line all the time! When we arrived at 4:30pm our room was not ready (we had an early check-in benefit, btw). They told us it would be 30 minutes. We had an event at the Ringling at 6pm. Ok. They did not offer us a seat at the restaurant for a complimentary drink (a standard gesture in this circumstance). We sat, unceremoniously, on the lobby couch with all of our luggage as a line of people snaked around us trying to checkin or check out. After 30 minutes, our room was still not ready. The front desk man said "sorry"--- you know, in that really calm, professionally nice way. Were they trained to think that a word ("sorry") was going to help? Did anyone train them on how to handle a guest when the hotel is in error? All of this Ritz training, all of these apologies, means nothing if you don't know how to make guests feel better. People love goodies---if you haven't figured out to seat us at a table for drinks, tell me that the hotel will give me a 30 minute massage during my stay to compensate for the stress. Something delightful. When you are paying $800 a night in Sarasota, I think you deserve to check-in on time. And if the hotel can't make that happen, they've got to take it seriously. There were people in the lobby who had been waiting since 2pm for a room (granted he needed an accessible room which is harder to come by). But, clearly, the hotel was utterly unprepared. Perhaps understaffed? Perhaps the housekeeping is badly managed? I don't know. So sad. Later, the manager assured us that our experience was a "one-off." She credited us quite a bit of money---- it would have been so much financially better for them if their front desk person had said something like, "while you wait, enjoy some caviar and champagne." And we would have been, if not delighted, assuaged. The staff is trying, I think. But someone at the top is not paying attention.
