Nice but not worth the money paid for.
How is the lounge closed because of “covid” but their rum fire restaurant is open? Paying right ridiculous high resort fees for everything else but can’t even use anything. Lounge access is a benefit for ambassadors but we can’t even use it because it’s closed because of covid. Seems like they don’t want to open up the lounge because of cost.
I always love to stay at Sheraton Waikiki! Front Desk Logen's service is without doubt and fast, Kelly and Kate’s smiles make us relief and we all felt welcome! Also they keeps sanitizing around their stations. When we open the room of the door, it’s quite clean and I feel relaxed with the sun light coming from the lanai. Thank you for the fabulous experience!! I will definitely come back.:) See you guys soon!
Excellent location, rooms are comfortable, covid did impact the quality of the stay
The location right next to Waikiki beach is fantastic, close to the action. We had a balcony with a view of the ocean which was great. Looking down from the balcony, there were sea turtles feeding in the area right outside the sea wall - very cool to watch. The people above us were loud on the balcony starting at 6AM, so good sleep was an issue. The room was cleaned every day so that was not limited by Covid. The breakfast was definitely covid limited to a minimalist selection, really not that good. Many restaurants in the area were not open or were limited to small number of people, so getting a dinner at peak time required quite a wait. This hotel adhered to the Covid safety policies - masking and distancing. We felt safe on the grounds.
Pool manager would do nothing to accommodate us other than say he “oh, I bet you’re in cabana #2”
Our 30th anniversary, so splurged for the infinity Edge Pool Cabana. Not as advertised! Do not rent cabana #2. This is my first negative review. Not to sound snotty as we typically don’t rent cabanas, but when I complained, I was told to complain to a website and that they could do anything non the $285 cost other than a drink ticket. This after our oceanfront room turned out to be a 6th floor view of the Royal Hawaiian arrival loop/front door. Had to ask for a move rather than being offered. Staff said they would accommodate - nice on the phone, but never called back. Had to go to the front desk and ask again. We had unpack and repack and move our own bags from one room to another - not a huge deal, but you know how it is when you just want relax at a resort. The keys to the new room then didn’t work. Back down down the front desk. They offered to have a manager call me about my overall experience. I said yes please. No call came. This is a beautiful hotel with nicely renovated rooms. Great comfortable bed. Staff is nice - very accommodating. A little short on follow-through. You will enjoy your time here. It would be nice not to have to manage your stay though - especially at a resort.
Loved everything about this hotel!
My brother recommended this hotel to me and he was kind enough to purchase our stay here for my boyfriend and I’s 6th anniversary. Alison helped check us in and she left the biggest impression on us. She was kind, knowledgeable and helpful with our questions. We’ve stayed at many hotels in Hawaii with family, this was our first trip alone which made us a little nervous. But Alison made sure we were good to go and exceeded our expectations. She treats people like family, a true gem. The rooms were beautiful, clean and modern. Super comfortable beds! The amenities make this hotel worth it from the infinity pool to the family pool and even a line up of activities everyone can enjoy. Sheraton Waikiki is super close to everything! Really only a 5-7 minute walk to all the food places we love in Waikiki. Next time we will bring our family to enjoy everything Sheraton Waikiki has to offer!
