    Home away from home

We stayed here for 5 nights. Location was excellent, next to International Marketplace and Royal Hawaiian Mall. Public bus 20 took 40 minutes to airport. Route #23 can drive you to Makapuu. Route #2 can stop at Diamond head. Room rate is just 1/3 to 1/2 as the rate of the hotels in the same neighborhood. Marriott Elite members can have free continental breakfast or hot breakfast sandwich with a bottle of soft drink. Pool and public area was decent. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. This property is the best choice for mid-range budget.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, resort fees

We enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Checking in didn’t take long, staff was polite and welcoming. BEWARE: $35 a night resort fee —hmmm, parking $35 daily (cheaper than most). Our room was spacious, clean, comfy king bed, min fridge, safe, 56” TV, nice balcony to view the pool area, the ocean and people watching lol. Has a nice snack bar with drinks, a nice pool and service is great. We enjoyed our stay here even though it’s loud near the street at times but I’m sure the other hotels around you can still hear the traffic and police sirens.

    Very noisy and tired hotel.

Hotel is very old and little has been done to upgrade it. Elevators smell like oil. Hall way carpets are worn. It is right in the heart of things...across the street from the Westin and Royal Hawaiian. On Friday and Saturday, a live band plays and you hear them in your room. Good band but so loud. Right now groups are protesting in Hawaii for various reasons by riding motorcycles at 2:00AM....racing up and down the street. You can not drown out the noise. They charge $35.00 a night for parking, but that’s a fair rate as all the hotels charge that or the same. The resort fee $35.00 a night is very hard to understand. The hotel is not on the beach, they don’t have a spa, they don’t have a golf course....they just have a pool...and it is nice. So, I think the resort fee is for the internet and use of the pool...way too much. Pros: central location, very nice large pool, (pay) parking right behind hotel...lower price that other hotels in the area. Cons: Tired hotel, resort fee...too high for no resort amenities, not on the beach.

    Beautiful Resort

I love this resort! My room is very nice. The entire resort is well maintained and warm staff! Literally u bathroom is small and hotel sq ft is typical but it's clean and fresh. Balcony has fantastic ocean views. I got a high floor and absolutely no regrets. There may be other room or suite options if needed. I highly recommend this resort.
