Was good. Preferred than negril one. 3 times there. They also do room service. I was a bit upset because construction was taking place and they didn't inform us before we got there. Some restaurants were closed but I haven't been there since renovations. Great hotel

Freestyle !! Vibe Team !
Vibe team Freestyle Adrian was amazing . He got us up and dancing , taught us new moves and brought life to party!! Love that guy! The restaurants were great as well and everyone was super helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here and they are the best in the game!

Apr 22, 2025Everything that should deliver a five star experience, but does not.
The Royalton Blue Waters has everything that should deliver a five star experience, but unfortunately does not. It is very clear that the management of the property aim to deliver top class accomodation; all the amenities, facilities, aesthstics and infrasctucture is provided, however the experience is tarnished by the very poor levels of profesionalism shown by most of the staff. During my stay it was very usual for wait & serving staff to be engaging their own private conversations in deep patois, with very little regard for the guests standing in front of them, even while handling food. The staff do not seem to think it inapproproate to shout from one end of a corridor or hall to another, in full earshot of hotel patrons. Never have i seen guests at any all inclusive ive ever been to have to que in long lines out in the sun, to enter the breakfast buffest every morning. This seems however to be the standard proceedure at the Royalton from what I experienced and from what other guests told me they had endured each day, for days on end. I really cannot see the reason for this apart from the ineffiency of the Matradee(s), who, after shouting to some other wait staff across the dineing hall, will only wave you on to go scavange for a vacant table on your own anyway. A good example of the attitude of the staff was clear to me one day as I stood waiting for two facilities men, who were walking abreast down a narrow guest room corridor chatting loudly to a third waiting facilities man. When the third man realised that I was waiting on his colleagues to pass, he told them to let the guest through, to which one of them responded: "I am a guest too", and laughed walking on. The lack of profesionalism relects in the poor level of workmanship shown by the level of maintenance. There is no effort made to disguise obivous patches or other similarly sloppy repair job. Paint splatter is on all the room fixtures and standard finishes like drain covers are very commonly missing. Broken tiles stood gaping on some guest corridors and others were haphazardly patched over with whatever random tile cement the facilities contractor seemed to be able to find with no attempt made to blend, giving some walkways a tacky feel. I tried to avoid the small, slow, rickety elevator to the room floors, so took the stairs instead. Here a very large well fed cockraoch sat confidently on a step as i slowly stepped over on the first night. Had hoped the ceiling fan over the bed might help with a bit of flow. Unfortunately the speeds seem to be either barely moving to super high... nothing in between. I was willing to tolerate the high speed fan if it meant moving the air around, however the rattling and grinding it made all night, as if about to fall to pieces, made it impossible to sleep. With all that being said, the Hotel has all the promise of what could be, and should be a great getway experience, especially at that pricepoint, but is let down by its human capital. I have been to hotels with far higher levels of proffesionalism in Jamaica for lower rates. I do not intend to visit the Royalton any time soon until there is a proper renovation, a qualityassurance programme put in place for maitence and proper refining of the staff's ability to engage with their guests.
