Hotel Riu Palace Riviera Maya was beautiful. The property is very well maintained, the staff are very friendly, all the restaurants were easy to enjoy and very kid-friendly, with lots of options at the buffets. The beach was very easy to enjoy, and they have waiters to serve you, whether it's water to keep you hydrated or a drink from the bar. Spring does bring a lot of seaweed, so just a heads up. We felt very safe and had no problems when we ventured out to 5th Ave for some shopping. Every night, they had entertainment, either bring the kids or enjoy just adults. The pools were good, with a designated adults-only pool with a swim-up bar. Our room faced the garden/ocean and was spacious with cleaning service every day.

This hotel is very clean. The staff is friendly. There is plenty to do for all ages. The beach is beautiful. Property is walkable to Playa.

A slice of paradise
Absolutely amazing experience from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. Rooms: We were upgraded upon arrival and then to a premium room, but decided to pay extra for the suite. It was well worth the price the suite was so spacious and even the roll out beds were super comfortable. The bath in the middle of the room is a little odd, and I would have preferred a door to a bathroom.. The hotel was immaculate! From the pools to the restaurants The staff were so friendly. Pool and beach: the pools were warm and there were plenty of sun-beds. I loved there parasol covers rather than umbrella's. The pool side bar workers always served with a smile, and I loved they used fresh juice and top label alcohol in their cocktails. The beach was immaculate, and sea crystal clear we had a couple days of "bad" seaweed but the staff worked tirelessly to clean it. Entertainment. We liked the pool vibes, wasn't too in your face. The evening entertainment seemed good, but we would usually take a taxi to town (5 mins) and dine out. The food: The main restaurant had amazing selection of food daily, but the other restaurants were a lot more restrictive especially for vegetarians, so we stuck to the buffet. I would not hesitate coming back and recommending this resort to friends and family

Our favorite vacation spot
My wife and I visit the RIU Palace Riviera Maya every year. The service is unmatched. We see similar faces in the staff year after year & there is truly nothing bad to say about this resort. The beach is beautiful, the food is amazing, the rooms are updated & always clean.

Quick getaway
The resort s very nice. Rooms are spacious and clean. They have plenty of restaurants to choose from and you don’t require reservations. The food was good but I wouldn’t say great, but I am also a foodie. It’s had to please my palate. The one thing that I didn’t like was chair hogging by the pool. Service throughout was excellent.
