We like the way the pools are laid out with the beach and water in complete view. This was a return trip for us we like the restaurants and food. The Staff is one of the best in Cancun. No kids........

Friends Vacay- A+
Went for a friend’s trip and it was excellent!! It was difficult to figure out the initial transfer from the airport to the hotel and needs to be booked well in advance.

Jun 18, 2025Cute small resort with poor customer service and bad beaches
Engagement trip and man, I hate for one experience to ruin a trip and hate to be that guy but come on. Room did not get below 76 degrees. With the humidity at night that’s a little much. The rest of the hotel was cooler 70 degrees. I guess the “ocean view rooms” are at the end of their vent system and don’t get air from what they told me 🤦♂️ Reception said “your room is cold but not to your liking” like I was being picky or something. 76 with humidity at night is crazy to me to be honest. They offered to downgrade us to a non ocean view but it was like I was being a nuisance and they weren’t apologetic or trying to be understanding. Just attitude like I was a problem or something. Beaches were over run with seaweed which caused every swimmable area to be diarrhea brown. Other staff were great. Resort is small which I enjoyed with access to other resorts for parties and such. Would never stay here again. Don’t trust the pictures. Stay at Riu caribe or the one next door to it. The pool parties are there. The Beaches are amazing. More things to do. Pretty disappointed I paid more to stay in a sweat lodge with brown water beaches. And I’m sure after this review there will be someone representing the hotel that says “I’m so sorry you weren’t happy with your stay and we are doing everything within our power to make future stays more enjoyable” or some BS lip service like that. But I didn’t get any apologies or understanding from anyone while I was here so they can save it. Check all my other reviews this is literally the first negative review I’ve ever given on trip advisor. I wouldn’t stay here, look elsewhere

LOVE LOVE LOVE!
This was our 2nd time staying at this property. We absolutely love it. We do not have a single thing to complain about. The front desk was so accommodating the moment we checked in with mimosas waiting for us. Our room was perfect. The food here is absolutely amazing, there is literally something for everyone. We really liked the Italian and steakhouse. I love that they have a 24 hour lounge where you have access to food all times of the day. The nachos were killer. I’m stilling craving them. All the employees work so hard here and are always thanking us for being there. Some of the bartenders we really liked were Abu, July, Eduardo, and David. The entertainment team are the nicest and really like to get to know you. It was so nice to see some of the same crew from our trip 2 years ago. Big shoutout to Damian, Jonathan, and Miguel! They even will call you by your name, that’s service! They really encourage the Riu parties. We really liked the free shuttle to take you there, it was a short ride to the Caribe. The parties are crazy and somewhat Vegas like. The activities pool was a little rowdy as well. The seaweed was out of control while we were there but that is nothing in their control. They did try to clean it up. It’s in a perfect location with it being only 20 minutes from the airport. There’s a really nice supermarket that is walking distance, close to coco bongo, and a flea market. I saw some reviews of people complaining about the decor and it needs updating. We actually don’t mind this look and like the old school Victorian fancy decor. If you want a more modern look, book the Riu Cancún next door. Just book your trip, you won’t regret it!!!!!

Great time with friends and family.
I traveled with my 19 year old twins and some friends. The staff were amazing. The food was great with many options.
