Best bang for the bucks!
This is one of the best all inclusive beach front resort for the money in Cancun. The beach is small but very clean and nice. The food and drinks are all good with excellent service from the Riu staff. This resort is in the center of the Hotel zone in Cancun. We come to Cancun and the Riu Palace resorts almost every year in the last dozen years and more to come...

A great stay
This resort is top notch. All of the staff are very attentive and the place is immaculate. They can be seen at all hours maintaining this beautiful property. Spent 4 nights and mostly ate at the buffet which has a ton of choices. Had a dinner one night at the Black and White steakhouse and it was excellent. This place has an elegance and class that many of the newer resorts just don't have. The lobby is beautiful as is the rest of the property. There is truly no need to leave the property as everything you want or need can be found within.

Birthday Trip
Great time at the palace with family and friends. The food was amazing, the buffet had a pretty good spread, the Italian restaurant was pretty good however, the steakhouse was my favorite. Pool time was fun. There are two pools, a quiet and a party pool what had all the activities including the foam party on Saturdays, water volley ball at 11am and aqua aerobics at noon. Small beach so if you like to walk the beach, you might be a tad disappointed. The Piano bar is pretty amazing, with stiff drinks and it’s opened until midnight and you get to socialize in there after the shows, don’t forget to try the English Black Russian drink. Speaking of shows, they have karaoke nights if you like to perform and silent disco which was pretty fun. No real nightlife, so you have to walk to the hotel next door which isn’t adults only to check out the club. There is a 24 hour snack bar that serves bar food that comes in handy after a long day of fun in the sun. The lobby is very large and I would say the hotel is medium size so you wouldn’t have to walk as much as some other resorts. The rooms do need to be updated however the housekeepers are so sweet and they work hard so don’t forget to tip them. As a matter of fact, tipping is very appreciated because the majority of the employees work very hard, are attentive and have families to support.
