great hotel and staff
This resort was amazing. Views from the pool were phenomenal and staff in the entire resort were super sweet and friendly. room was spacious with lots of room for storage but mattress and pillow could be better. Drinks were 4/10 didn't taste like much alcohol. I loved the check out system for towels at the pool. Many options for dinner but I would suggest being there as soon as possible to avoid a wait time. I was there May 2023 and never waited for more than 15-20 minutes to get seated and I arrived to restaurants within 30 minutes of opening for dinner. I assume there is a longer wait time during peak season. Great location from the marina and taxi was $14 one way trip.

Great Vacation!
My husband and I used United Vacations to plan our travel to Mexico. We decided to head to Cabo and stay at the RIU Palace Baja California. We chose the Junior Oceanfront Room. This room was excellent as the balcony had an unobstructed view of the ocean. The room was spacious and two people could fit in the shower. There were a lot of activities to chose from and we had access to the sister properties. The food and drinks were also good. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone who wants to go. My one con: The bed was slightly depressed on one side so the first night I didn’t sleep well. I slept on the other side and didn’t have any other problems.

The Riu is on FIRE
Wow oh wow. Come to the Riu if you want a good time! From the moment we arrived we were early grated by Ingrid at the front desk, she was warm, welcoming and very informative. Ingrid explained everything to us in detail and made us feel welcomed and excited to begin the next part of our trip! We received our all-inclusive wristbands (the only way to do a Riu). We were then welcomed with some champagne, mimosas and beer which went down a treat after a long day of travelling. The rooms were modern, well-appointed and expectantly clean. The shower was large and had good water pressure and heated up fast. The room also comes fully stocked with vodka, Bacardi, tequila and whiskey as well as a fridge full of mixers and bottled water. The beds were also some of the comfiest I've ever slept on meaning for a well-rested night after days of partying. A couple more bottles of conditioner/ body lotion would have been nice but nothing we can't live without. The property itself is stunning and also well-maintained and cleaned pretty much every day, they go the extra mile and focus on attention to detail. the pool area was clean and there was ample seating for guests to lounge around and enjoy the multiple infinity pools! Pepes food near the pool also served up really tasty Mexican food which was available all day including tacos and nachos, hot chips and burgers. The food at this resort was super tasty especially the meat at the American restaurant, which was some of the best I have ever had. There's nothing short of fun at this resort with the Riu Partys being held at the next-door property. these are pretty wild and go off with a bang! the music pretty good and they squirt drinks from super soakers right into your mouth. even at these parts, they're petty on top of cleanliness with staff cleaning around the pool/ collecting drinkware etc. Overall a really fun adults-only resort with an awesome location not too far from town. a modern and clean property with amazing food, tasty drinks and great service! all the staff went out of their way to ensure guests were well taken care of and having a good time. What a way to celebrate some birthdays! We will definitely be back, viva Los Cabos!!!

You don’t even get what you pay for
Don’t go here unless you only care about partying. The food was horrible - bland, small proportions (I mean the best restaurant which is the steak house Guacamole gives you one tiny basket of fries for two people even tho you order two separate meals). Best meal we had was off the resort downtown at Salvatore G’s which was by far the best Italian food I’ve had in my life! Got room cleaning service 2 out of the 5 days. The room (ocean front king) has no insulation barrier at all you hear everyone in the halls, getting down next to you, and all the partying and screaming down stairs. The ocean wasn’t even peaceful to hear because it was 10’ waves pounding into the shore all night long rattling our glass slider to the patio. The gym is the smallest like 20’x20’ room with barely any equipment which I don’t understand for such a big place so the gym is pointless. You can’t get a pool chair unless you go down right at 7am and put your towels down on one otherwise you’re stuck on the very side. Also, don’t go right now it was so windy and cold it wasn’t even barely enjoyable for the 5 days we were there. I even got sick it was so cold. Tons of people got wheelchairs back to their rooms they were so wasted so like I said unless you want to just party and pass out then this place isn’t for you.

Awful customer service
I asked for a wifi password and I was told by Maritza Salazar (reception manager) to pay for extra $190 pesos (@ 10 usd) Is also asked for proof documentation to show why I had to pay extra, but I didn’t got any. Finally I asked to talk with her superiors but I was told that Carmen Alonso and Vania Ramírez were on meetings all day, but I can wait at the lobby to talk to them. I will not come back again and I don’t recommend the hotel, because of this situation.
