You couldn't pay me to stay here again.
This place is cross between a summer camp that you get sent to as a kid that you resent the second you get there and a low-end cruise line -- where you get sub-par food, forced activities with people that you'd never want to be seen with again, and poor accommodations. I'm actually shocked that this place got a 5 star rating and whoever rates these places needs to get their license taken away. I would rate it a 2 star at best - the rooms look like the designer at Motel 6 designed it. They don't have any privacy-- there's no separate door to enter the bathrooms, you feel like you're showering in the toilet, the air conditioning didn't work, and we felt dirty right after showering. Our clothes and beds were damp, and the beds were uncomfortable. The double rooms didn't even have beds that were separated which makes it awkward when you're traveling with a friend. When we checked in, we were forced to wait 3 hours for our room to be ready even though the guy at the front desk said that the hotel was at 47% capacity. We went to the pool to have a drink while we were waiting for our room and the drinks were made with their own branded alcohol and horrible sugar mixers-- pretty much undrinkable. They made you wear a mask for covid everywhere around the property but then had a buffet where there was communal silver wear to serve yourself? Literally nothing made sense here. I could keep going but I'll spare your time-- I'd just highly recommend staying somewhere else. You couldn't pay me to ever stay at this place again.
Booked this trip hoping to find a good value and good service. Both expectations were met and the vacation was the best. The wait staff was attentive and professional. The food was amazing. The activity staff was tremendous. Everyone was personable and took pride in what they were doing. Everyone talked with us and we engaged them and was helpful in assisting us to ensure we had a good time while there.
my first visit to cabo, and my partner and I decided to stay at the riu palace baja california and it did not disappoint! we chose an oceanfront jr suit and the views were phenomenal from the balcony! all of the staff were so friendly and attentive. Nancy, Jose, and Jesus helped us make our trip very easy and super enjoyable. definitely will be staying there again
The grounds were super clean. The staff was so nice and accommodating. There was always something to do and the staff there was so knowledgeable in the activities going on guiding you to where you needed to be and when. Would recommend this resort over and over again. I had such a great time.
Great service just not our crowd
We chose an adult-only all inclusive to avoid screaming kids and complaining teens but didn't realize this adult only was more of a party scene then relaxation scene. Loud music and partying until early in the morning. The first few days us "50 somethings" found it entertaining just watching but the loudness got old, especially at 2-3 in the morning. The facility was clean, staff was amazing, just not our crowd. In the future we will choose a high end or spa/golf adult only or just stay at the family resort and save some money. (I've stayed at a Secrets before as well as a Family Resort and both were much quieter and enjoyable as a whole.
