    palm beach shores trip

Just came back from tnis resort April 18th 2025. The room my wife and I had was suite 114. This room should never be given out. The view was nothing but bushes and could only see the tiki bar is I was standing. The room was clean and the staff was great. The tiki restaurant was very good we had all meals there and every meal was exceptional . Rental chairs on the beach was $40.00 per day and included 2 chairs and 1 umbrella. Around the pool was mostly sun and hardly any shade. If you book this resort refuse to take the 1st floor rooms. This resort should be embarrassed to give out 1st floor rooms

    Worst Resort Experience Ever

Do Not Stay Here – Worst Resort Experience We've Ever Had We were counting down the days to this vacation—something we’d planned for over a year to finally spend meaningful time with our parents, whom we rarely get to see. We booked adjoining ocean-view rooms to make this trip truly special. Sadly, this resort turned it into a complete disaster. We requested one king room and the adjoining room be two queens and we met with both rooms just having a king bed, which wasn't OK for our group. And no grown adult can sleep on the terrible, terrible, terrible, pull out couches. From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. The front desk staff was shockingly rude and dismissive, with Nico being one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever encountered. He was cold, unhelpful, and completely lacking in basic decency, let alone professionalism. He didn’t listen, didn’t care, and made an already stressful situation so much worse. The biggest and most disturbing issue was our room (540). As soon as we walked in, we were hit with a strong, nauseating urine smell—so intense that it burned our eyes and made it impossible to sleep. We immediately reported it. Maintenance came to "clean" the carpet multiple times, but the smell kept coming back within minutes. By night two, the carpet was soaked, which made the stench even worse. It was clear this wasn’t a surface problem—it was structural, possibly from a plumbing issue, and absolutely disgusting. We spent five days begging for help, only to be offered unacceptable alternatives: adjoining rooms facing a parking lot or splitting our group entirely, with one room moved across the resort to a noisy, ground-level poolside unit. Neither was remotely close to what we had carefully planned and booked a year in advance. On the final night, in desperation for sleep and relief from the odor, we moved just one of the rooms. It was far from ideal, but we couldn’t take another night in that nightmare of a room. And just when we thought it couldn't get worse—as we were checking out, someone else was checking into Room 540. Nothing had been fixed. The resort clearly ignored our repeated concerns and left the next guests to suffer the same way we did. Beyond the horrendous smell and poor service, the resort itself is completely run-down. Furniture is chipped, rugs and mattresses are stained, the pull-out couches are unusable, and we constantly needed maintenance. Lights were out, the showerhead had to be replaced, and even the dishwasher wasn’t properly secured. This place is not a “Gold Crown” resort—it’s barely functioning. The only positives were the poolside bar staff—especially Lisa, who was fantastic—and a few others like Christina at the towel hut and Nancy, the aerobics instructor. They were the only people who made us feel like guests and not a burden. The Motown singers at the restaurant and Darrell the musician by the pool were also a fun touch in an otherwise exhausting stay. Unfortunately, none of that could make up for the stress, sleepless nights, and total lack of care we received. Add to that the daily charges for parking and beach chairs, and this resort feels more like a rip-off than a vacation destination. This was the worst resort experience we’ve ever had, and it turned what should’ve been a joyful family trip into something we needed to recover from. We expected far better from an RCI listing. Please save your money, your points, and your time—do not stay here.

Under New Management and Processes Need to be improved

We have stayed at Palm Beach Shores several times. The resort went under new management in January 2025 and we knew it as soon as we went to check in. The check in process was a zoo. Cars parked down the parking lot, people were sleeping on couches with their luggage next to them like being in an airport overnight. Long lines to check in at the desk once the 4:00 check-in bell rang. We have checked in early in the past if our room was ready. But this time it seemed no rooms were ready. Took over an hour. Desk staff initially discourteous. Had a room poolside. Bar/Pool area music volume was very high until 10:00 pm. The volume was so loud having a conversation was extremely difficult even at the far end at the pool. There were several families checked in with young children. The music came through the rooms to the point of vibration. Left after 3 sleepless nights on a 7 day reservation. I hope they get better for everyone's sake.

Excellent week at Palm Beach Shores!!

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The unit was clean, cheerful, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed having a view of the pool area. The only downside is the beach has a slanted shore so is difficult to take walks on it. It may, however, depend on the tide. The restaurant onsite is excellent. We ate many meals there and they have a great chef! The three days of pool exercises was a nice benefit!
