    Showing Its Age

The hotel attendants and service staff we met were above average. The key facilities were in good shape: pool, gym and walking grounds. The major negatives was the room, while large, was 20 years past a makeover. Housing developments have now encircled what once was an amazing desert property. The small charges for self parking (on rutted roads) and "free morning coffee" were just annoying.

    Old and not updated

Watch the bird crap near the pool. Apparently only guests can see it. Expect to overpay for food and drinks because they need to make money somewhere. Stay in one of the bungalows near the residential homes so you can see what 2010 looked like in your room.

    Relaxing but needs updating

A very nice facility to get some R&R, but it needs some updating. The staff were very friendly. Not really close to any dining establishments or tourist attractions. Anything to do or see requires at least a half hour drive which was fine because the scenery south of Tucson is worth the drive.

    Beautiful Views, Bad Room

The staff and views at this hotel are amazing. The room is a different story. It needed major updating. The carpets in the room were stained and the room had an odor to it. I ended up buying febreze and spraying my sheets and carpet because the odor was so strong. I could feel the springs in the bed poking me in the back. The ceiling over the shower was covered in mold. Temperature was in the 20s and my heat ended up going out in the middle of the night. The TV was very old and the picture had vertical lines running through it. Also I was on the ground floor with a main entry door and a sliding glass door and neither door had security latches. I payed a lot of money for my room and i was expecting a lot nicer room for the price I paid.
