    Awesome Resort

We took advantage of travel cancellations just before the country shut down due to the Coronavirus. We made a last minute decision to drive down to Florida and were lucky to find availability and terrific pricing at the last minute. Check in was extremely pleasant and the gentleman checking us in honored our on line price. The resort had cancellations, which may have effected the availability of our amazing room, which was located on the fifth floor, in the center of the resort providing us with fantastic views of the Atlantic and incredible sunrises. The room was a king room-very spacious, very clean (even had a slight smell of bleach which indicated to me that they were taking precautions to disinfect due to virus concerns). Staff was friendly and helpful. The resort is huge with plenty to do, especially if you are traveling as a family. Pool area is spacious and includes an adult pool. There is a restaurant right there where we enjoyed lunches outdoors. Food was fantastic. For a resort of this caliber, we felt prices were reasonable. The lack of crowd made the whole experience more relaxing. It was easy to get a spa appointment that day. The spa is top rate. We will definitely be back!! This is the type of place that you don’t have to leave, but the surrounding area offers a lot as well.

    Relaxing, great views, helpful staff

We arrived right before the beaches were closed (they closed on the Sunday we left). The views were great, pool areas at both the main resort as well as the area we stayed in, which was the Sandcastle Resort 1 room 264, one bedroom (two queens), full kitchen, private balcony, and it had its own separate pool. One down side - this was advertised with its own washer/dryer combo, but it did not have one. The AC was very strong, kitchen had all we needed, and the walk to the beach was very short. We ordered food at Falcons nest - burgers were really good -wings not so much. Due to the restrictions and lowered amount of staff, they will only do housekeeping if you are staying four or more nights. However, we called one evening around 8pm saying we needed more towels, coffee, kitchen rags and within 15 minutes someone was there with all we needed and emptied our trash as well. Extremely beautiful property all the way around. Can rent bikes (highly suggested) or golf carts, can fish and play golf/tennis on site. Walkers Landing is an old Timoocuan Indian site with a burial mound, docks, and good fishing as well. Streets are shaded with older moss covered trees and a very relaxing feel all the way around. Check in was easy (though we didn't get our rooms until 6pm, probably due to the shortage of staff during this time) we had a great time at the two pools, bar, and beach while we waited on our rooms - towels supplied by the resort, and lounge chairs are comfortable. My son fell skateboarding and hurt his wrist while we waited on the room. We called and the resort sent someone to our room within 10 minutes to check on him. GREAT service. Beach view at night from the balcony was very good (had a few sand gnats though so a candle or bug spray is needed). Walker's landing around sunset or a few hours before you will need bug spray as well. Beaches are clean, and very side even during high tide so plenty of room to spread out. This is not an area people come to the beach unless they are staying on the resort so you should have room. We will be going back at some point after the pandemic is controlled.

Great getaway for locals (and obviously out of towners too)

We enjoy stay-cations at hotels nearby. This omni is a winner. Beach plus great pools and hot tubs. Great family spot. Food can be a little pricey as you would imagine, but there are good local eats nearby if you are on a budget.

    Rambling mixed Resort

We were staying in a “villa” which turned out to be a small condo which was difficult to locate. It had a fantastic ocean front view but NO cell phone reception. The Wi-Fi connection however was strong. The resort is a mix of hotel, condos & private homes spread out over large acreage.

    Fantastic hotel and staff

Highly recommend going during off-times (like the week before big events) The hotel wasn't crowded at all. The staff was great. There are several restaurants on site. Shuttles to take you around the property are helpful. Sarah (facial) and Amber (massage) at the Spa are great. Well worth the price.
