Great spot for a nice getaway!
This is the perfect spot for an east coast getaway. The resort is huge with 2 great pools and lovely beach access. We loved sitting outside by the fire pit and it was really easy to social distance with so many seating areas outside. The standard rooms are great. Beds were super comfy and loved the Nest fragrance amenities in the bathroom. So many dining options you don't have to leave the resort. Falcon's Nest was great! If you do want to leave the resort, make sure you have a car. There are apparently only 2 lyft/uber drivers on the island. We did use Tom's Island Transportation at the recommendation of the concierge and he was awesome!
Love the Omni
We absolutely love The Omni in Amelia Island. From the time you arrive the Valets folks are extremely friendly and helpful. Each of the 4 nights we left they were there to make sure we didn’t have any needs and asked how we enjoyed ourselves when we arrived back. We appreciate Michael having us a great room with a fantastic view. Cody at check in was very friendly. Make sure you start your day at the Sunrise Cafe for a great breakfast. Daniel/Danny and his staff were incredible. Levi down at the beach made sure we had all our needs met. Special thanks to Tabitha for helping us when we checked out. Omni at Amelia Island is a Ten❤️😎
Hotel needs facelift
We went for a few days. Nice view from room, pool area clean an attended too. Disappointed in dinner options, menu was very over priced! Step valet parking charge $27 Staff was excellent and friendly.
Great stay for Labor Day weekend!
We booked for a mother/daughter trip with friends for Labor Day. We arrived just prior to 4 pm on Friday and were told our room would be ready shortly. And, it was ready in about 10 minutes. We received a text and picked up our keys. We chose valet parking as it was only a few dollars more than self park. If you want a mini-fridge, you need to ask for it. There is a small "cooler" in the room but it does not do a lot. We asked for one on Saturday and it was delivered immediately. The bulk of the resort restaurants are near the gate and there is a shuttle that runs frequently. We never waited more than a minute or two. We had good dining experiences at Natural Slice, Falcon's Nest and Bob's. Room was on the first floor with a nice patio. Room was spacious. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. All staff in masks and masks were required in indoor public spaces. A few cons...there is not a lot of wait staff servicing the pool area so it takes a while to find one and then get your order. Our daughters are in high school and not old enough for the adult pool but did not want to be in the family pool with younger kids horsing around. There was not really another option for them. Also, there was no self serve water stations around the pool. It was very hot out and we would have liked to have filled our own water bottles. I understand COVID precautions but do believe this should be reconsidered. Overall, I would stay there again as we really enjoyed the property!
It was the first for all of us on a Segway Tour (2 adults, 14 & 11 year old). Jorie was fantastic in teaching us how to maneuver the Segways until we felt comfortable going out onto the "road" . The tour was called the "Naturalist Tour" and it was the highlight of our trip. Can't wait to go back and do another tour.
