My daughter was turning 16, she wanted a Hollywood theme sweet 16 party after pricing the dress, venue, menu, party planner, photo booth, DJ and everything for this theme I was at about 9000. My daughter an A student never gave me any problems, I had no issues; however I gave my baby a choice a party or trip of her choice. My daughter picked Cancun and with our Tavel Agent assistance we ended up at the Jade Now. On her special day they placed a birthday banner on the door. She went to the spa and I surprised her with a steak & lobster dinner on the beach. The escort was beautiful, very clean, the staff was nice to us and he lobby smelled sooooo good, I just have one question if anyone can share that scent with me. I would highly recommend this resort. I did refer a friend and her family who also had an amazing time. I love the fact all the restaurants were good and no wristbands. Again if someone in the hotel can just share with me the lobby scent.
Wonder Wedding, Excellent Resort
My husband and I had a small destination wedding on March 18th amidst the corona craziness. I have to say the resort did a great job of making us and our guests feel comfortable, there were sanitizing stations at every food and beverage area as well as main public areas like reception, etc. In terms of the resort itself, it was fabulous. This was our second time at Now Jade (the first time was seven years earlier) and it did not disappoint. The beach/grounds are beautiful, the facilities are clean, and the staff is great! The buffet had a great breakfast, we ate there every day with our server Eduardo - he was a ray of sunshine first thing in the morning and we ate lunch almost every day at Castaways with Edwin who was an absolutely fantastic server. Both waiters' kind and personable service made us want to go back to the resort soon. We stayed in the preferred section as the bride and groom and appreciated having an adult-only pool. The main pool was only loud for about an hour a day, but having the preferred section was wonderful. There were plenty of chairs on the beach and we never had to hunt for shade. The restaurants for dinner were excellent. The food and service were great. As for the wedding - we had a very small wedding on the beach and dinner at the French restaurant. Jaqueline took care of everything. She was wonderful. I had my nails and makeup done by Fanny in the spa - I would highly recommend her. I was very nervous about getting my makeup done without a trial run, but Fanny was great. She listened to want I wanted, my makeup was simple (not too heavy) and done with professional quality. I would request Fanny if you are getting your make up done at the spa.

First, i want to say that this trip was one i will remember for the rest of my life. This was trip that my fiancé proposed! If it hadn’t been for this i probably would not have made a big deal about this trip honestly and here is why: 1. There was construction going on (which we did not know prior to booking) had i known that (since this was my fiancé and our friends first trip out of the country) i would have went with a different resort. This may be why the price was so affordable ($1400.00) or something per couple! 2. Check in was a mess. There were sooo many people that arrived at once we spent better half of the morning (approx two hours) sitting in the lobby. I can honestly say that was best smelling lobby ever!! I don’t know what scent they were pumping through the vents but it was amazing. After we checked into our rooms (which wouldn’t be ready for another four hours which we had expected anyway) we were pulled aside to schedule our welcome meeting. This would be a 90 min tour of the resort which at the end will be a timeshare presentation that they push BUT you can get 500.00 “cash” that can be used at the resort for excursions and spa etc but you cannot use it to upgrade your stay if you are not diamond yet. 3. We got wasted and i mean like lose your mind, haven’t eaten all day, been traveling, finally on vacation, let’s get wild, wasted from how heavy they were pouring the drinks at the pool when it came time to go to our room i wiped out on the freshly waxed lobby floor leaving a gaping gash in my elbow and smacked my head on the floor. I blacked out cold i remember someone putting me into a wheelchair and the staff pushing me to our room... 8 hours later waking up in my blood soaked bed because nobody offered a first aid kit or tried to check to see if i was alive. I had to leave a note for the housekeeper that everything was ok nobody was murdered please change out sheets. 4. We missed our appointment for our 90 min tour but we decided that’s ok we didn’t want to waste another min of vacation time. Boy was that a mistake. We were literally stalked each time we passed through the Lobby asking to reschedule. Six-ten times daily a phone call to our room or cell asking where we were and to reschedule. I asked politely EVERYTIME for them to remove us from their list. But they didn’t get the hint. 5. No towels or chairs at the pool EVER!! We literally had to stalk people to snag a chair so get up EARLY EARLY EARLY!! 6. People on the beach selling drugs. Yep. We only went on the beach twice. Once for the proposal and then once to swim but we couldn’t even do that because the seaweed was so bad and smelled terrible. The day we went to swim a man rushed us blew a horn in my face and offered us heroin, coke, weed anything we want for $50.00 the lifeguard didn’t even flinch. I did not feel safe at all. Good things i can say was the waitstaff at every restaurant. So amazing and friendly! The entertainment crew at the pool and the “sports bar” was so fun and energetic. The best excursion We did was the catamaran to isla Mujeres and it was absolutely breathtaking! We were able to really explore for two hours and snorkel it was just amazing! We met some really great people on this excursion that we are still friends with and talk to tik this day. Overall the resort is small but accommodating for distance and those who can’t get around. Beach is nothing to write home about. Rooms are nice but nothing different than any other resort room. Pools are fun but lots of kids everywhere. Drinks are stiff. Tread lightly through the lobby lol.
We stayed at the Now Jade at the end of February as it was recommended by a friend who had stayed there many years prior. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with towels and champagne in addition to a beautiful view through the lobby to the beach. So open and airy and loved the fact that you always felt outside even if you were inside or in a covered area. The staff was more than words can say. We had our first and last drink with Francisco and he took our very first and last picture of our trip. Diego was our greeter in the lobby and was very pleasant and welcoming. We loved having Ivan at the beach and Domingo at the pool. Very personable and accommodating to our and everyone's every need. We had the pleasure getting to know our attentive server Edgar in the International Cafe all week. My daughters and I were there for a girls getaway and we could not say enough positive things about Now Jade. Our room was always well cleaned, the staff in every area of the resort was always happy and catered to every guests' needs...seriously, every staff member that we came in contact with! The food was amazing, the portions in the restaurants were just right as to not be wasteful. We really enjoyed the Hibachi dining option as well. I want to make sure to mention the grounds crew because not only did they keep the grounds looking beautiful, they cleaned the beaches every morning. They were out there early and were raking the beach to clean up the shoreline to remove any debris from overnight. That made our views even more enjoyable as you'll see pictures on Trip Advisor of resort beaches but for the resort to keep on that just added to their dedication to their guests. We were able to witness several weddings while staying and even though they were out by the guests on the beach, no one tried to interfere or cause distractions for their special moment. The entertainment staff was fun too. We cannot wait to go back!
Nico, Yeo, Felipe, Jorge Candido. and Dj Marcial made this trip for me and my friends one to remember. This resort was awesome and all the workers were so helpful with whatever I needed. 10/10 stars. (best week of my life)
