Too expensive for the accomodations will not be here again!
Arrived about midnight was charged over $115.00 for a suite that was totally awkward to relax in. The bad was in one half of the suite with a desk and the other half had a dresser with the TV set on top and one single chair that appeared to have come from the local thrift store. You could not lay in bed and see the TV or sit with your spouse and watch a show unless one of you sat on the floor. The bathroom had no exhaust fan make it very humid in the room and when trying to find a place to eat breakfast the internet was so slow I ended up using my hotspot on my phone. The bag breakfast that was sat out on the front desk for guests to pick up consisted of a small granola bar, fruit cup, 4oz water and a small carton of juice. The bag resembled something you would give a kindergartener for a snack. You would think that for over $100 they would have at least thru in a bagel!! Wyndham really dropped the ball on this hotel and their quality of guests accomodations!!!! Will not stay or recommend this place to anyone. I should've went to the Motel 6 at least there I know what I'm getting for my money.
The Con Job
El Reno required masks during our stay. Very understandable in view of the surge of the Covid-19 virus. What is not understandable is: (a) having NO hand sanitizer available for patrons by the elevator, where an empty sanitizer resides (b)having dirty rooms - upon checkout, I was asked for any constructive criticism. My response was to start using Sofscrub in the bathroom & to start using a vacuum on the rugs, clean the walls, etc. The answer to this was an astounding, 'we have really stepped up our cleaning in the past 3 mos. (April, May & June)'. They used the Covid-19 card to explain why they don't offer ANYTHING for breakfast in this filthy place!
This was the worst hotel stay I have ever had! It started the moment I walked into the lobby to check in! The front desk lady named Maria took 5 minutes to even come to the front desk to check me in. She didn’t give me my windham rewards customer gift bag. Then I left to get food and my aunt was in the shower and she called me and threatened to kick me out over my dog barking. The hotel allows dogs, they should expect to hear some barking! Then on the last day check out time hadn’t happened and Maria knocked on our room door and accused my aunt of smoking, she said we were not smoking. Maria shoves my aunt out of the door way and walked into our room and said we were smoking and said she was charging my credit card and walked away. I went to the front desk to check out and tell her I wasn’t happy with the situation and she became argumentative and called the cops on me and they told her they would not be coming out to the hotel until the had time. I ask for my receipt and she walks away from the front counter. I called my credit card customer service while standing there waiting for Maria to come back. Maria walks back up to the desk and tells me to leave and I ask for my receipt again she says no and calls the police again. The police tell her to give me my receipt and don’t call back. Maria prints my receipt and then proceeds to throw it at me as she is telling me “get the f**k out of here you f**king b***h! All the while I’m on the phone with my credit cards customer service and she hears all of this and offers the phone number for LaQuinta headquarters to file a complaint on Maria. So I have disputed the entire charge and I will be damned if I will pay you a penny for this experience and I am going to tell everyone I can everywhere I can about this experience. If Maria is the example of management allowed to work for LaQuinta, then it won’t take long to ruin your company’s reputation. Also the rooms were filthy and stunk! The breakfast was absolutely disgusting both days I was there! Believe me when I say this I am not going to stand by and get treated like that by Maria, LaQuinta, or anybody else! As the old saying goes “I demand satisfaction!” And now Maria Hernandez, the general manager, yup that’s right the Maria in reference to the above experience, is one in the same!!! is going to say it was all my fault in my review to LaQuinta so you take your chances!!! I have stopped payment and they will not get a penny from me!!! They wouldn’t post my review so let’s see if it will post here. I doubt it but whatever, I had my say and it’s just beginning for Maria Hernandez!!!
Enjoyed our stay there. Breakfast was great. Rooms were cozy, neat and clean. Staff was friendly. Highly recommended. We will definitely go back and recommend it to our friends and family. A must to all visiting Yukon, OK or nearrby.
Accommodating in the Midst of Crisis
My daughter and I were scheduled to be in OKC for the Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE). We had booked Sunday-Thursday. I was allowed to check in around noon on Sunday. While I was waiting for my daughter, they made me fresh coffee and made sure I was correctly hooked to the free WiFi. While in the lobby, the OKC mayor declared a state of emergency due to COVID-19, and he banned all gatherings for groups larger than 49. (OYE is a stock show with 20,000 exhibitors.) My daughter and I went to the barn to find out that the show had been canceled. Upon our return, the night manager quickly and without hesitation, canceled and refunded my non-refundable room. She made a stressful situation a little less stressful. This is a great place to stay with super friendly staff!
