Worth the stay
We arrived late and were warmly greeted. Room was very clean and nice. Very convenient for me to take my dog out. Price was great and check in/out was fast. This will be my go to hotel for future trips.
You get what you pay for! Don't stay!
I'm here right now. I booked through Booking.com while driving to Louisville. The pictures of the room looked nice, good reviews. Okay, let's book it! I ask the clerk at the desk at check in, " I'm not by the elevator or ice machine?". No ,she says. I get the key card and leave for dinner. Its late around 6pm. Been driving since 7am. Come back to our room and hear a dog barking constantly. I go to the desk, tell her about the dog. Oh, this is a pet friendly hotel. Uh, Booking.com never mentioned this. Okay, move are room please. Sorry, no rooms. So we go in our room. It's hot, and sheets stained. We wiped everything down with our wipes. I'm resting, I hear a motor going behind the headboards. On ,boom, off, boom. I go out in the hall, our room backs up to the elevator!! I see the clerk and say to her, you told me the room wasn't by the elevator! Mam, you can leave if you want. I'm like, I would, but its 8pm. at night. So as I'm typing this, I have a dog barking to the right of my room and the elevator motor running to the left! Also, picture on the website doesn't show that the bathroom sink is in the bedroom area, not the bathroom. Ugly purple room. I'm afraid what breakfast will be like.
Don’t stay in 203!
It’s quiet and clean. Those are the 2 stars. That’s it. Sorry, but this place couldn’t come close to earning another one. Breakfast was lousy, one of the worst we’ve eaten. Biscuits were as hard as hockey pucks, couldn’t cut them with the plastic utensils. When finally broken up, they just crumbled. Sausages were almost burnt. Beds weren’t very comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was poor. The heater-A/C unit was so loud it woke me up with a start every time it kicked on until I finally shut it off completely and put on a sweatshirt to stay warm. Hotels next to runways are quieter than this room’s HVAC unit. We’ve stayed at 15-20 LaQuintas and this one was #2 WORST. Very disappointing from a usually *very* reliable chain.
Louisville La Quinta
Hotel was excellent. Clean and quiet. Check in and out was very fast. We've stayed at this La Quinta in the past and will do so in the future if it maintains its current level of service. BTW - breakfast was good, too.
Clean and K9 accommodating
Thank you La Quinta for making traveling with our dog pleasant! From the moment my dog stepped inside the door, he was treated very politely which of course makes pet parents very happy. Alisha was working when we arrived and she greeted us and offered my pup a couple of milk bones which was a kind gesture. We were given a second floor room close to the stairwell for easy in and out access closest to the potty station. There are two designated potty break places and LaQuinta was kind enough to supply waste bags and a trash can which was very much appreciated. Our dog is a 50lb mixed breed who is quite well behaved. He has made traveling with him easy and we don’t want to be the one to ruin it for others so we gladly pick up after him. My only complaint is not even related to LaQuinta directly but at other pet parents who stay here. While walking my dog, there are many land-mines left behind by inconsiderate pet owners. It makes navigating the grassy area dangerous to avoid stepping in dog mess, especially at night. Someone had stepped in it and scraped it off right in front of the entrance to the building. It was smeared all over the rug and curb. Yuck! If I can pick up after mine, other people should pick up after theirs. This is why more facilities don’t allow pets to stay and I completely understand that issue. If I were LaQuinta, I would install a couple of small cameras and start adding a $10 pick up fee for dog owners that don’t clean up after their pets. Seriously, the bag and can are right there; use it people! Now, the hotel itself is practically spotless. The lobby is clean, the hallways are clean and better yet, our room and bathroom were clean! No dog pee smell, nothing unpleasant at all. The decor is modern and contemporary. Our executive king suite on the second floor was carpeted, well designed and spacious. There was a microwave and mini-fridge in our room. There is also a full closet with door to hang garments and overcoats. The only thing I didn’t like about our room is that the doorway is not sealed very well so light shines in from the hallway at night. I like to sleep in total darkness and between the door light and the window light, I tossed and turned a bit. The dog slept juuussttt fine though. We really appreciate your hospitality and accommodating our pet. We hate leaving him at home alone. The linens and towels were nice, the pillows were fluffy down which I really liked. The mattress itself wasn’t too comfortable overall. My husband prefers firmness and said it was too firm for him even. Not a huge deal but be prepared. The breakfast consisted of eggs, biscuits, gravy, toast, yogurt, boiled egg, cereal, muffins, juice and milk for the most part. The indoor pool is small but it is clean and well maintained. The workout room was nice as well with a treadmill, elliptical, exercise ball, kettle bells and a free weight bench. We will gladly stay here again and recommend this facility to friends and family who travel with and without their pets as well.
