Will never stay here again
My son and I checked in on 9/10/20 and requested a room with 2 beds but were refused. They required us to book 2 separate rooms since we were not husband and wife. This is discriminatory! We did book 2 rooms and they put us on opposite sides of the building. I requested a 4:00am wake up call in order to make a surgery report time at the local hospital. No wake up call came. Luckily my son woke up early enough so we could still make it there. My son's room had no hot water. When we notified the motel they said they would refund his money but when we returned to collect it they only refunded $20.00. The night before my husband called corporate customer service and they refused to talk with him. Evidently La Quinta (which by all accounts has slipped considerably in the ratings) is not interested in retaining ANY customers. This applies to both local hotel and the corporate offices. This place is old and poorly maintained. With no service available and many other options, there's absolutely NO reason to stay here. Also negatively impacts the entire Wyndom chains reputation.
Good for the money
Spent three nights here for business. The hotel itself is aged but appears to be kept up somewhat. My room was clean and the furnishings were in good working order. There was an odd smell to the room but a 95¢ air freshener from the Walmart next door corrected that. The coronavirus nonsense eliminated any type of breakfast service so that was a significant inconvenience....not the fault of staff though. I'm sure that's a corporate decision. There's a Cracker Barrel and Krispy Kreme both within walking distance so that made life a bit easier. Once Wyndham stops panicking over the common cold, I'd be happy to stay here again.
Woke up with bite marks in by lower back the first two nights!!
• Bugs in room • Room is not clean... mold and hair in refrigerator... • In room air conditioner does a poor job at keeping the room cool. Repairs are being done to the wall behind the bed during the day; This annoying distraction is keeping me from focusing on my work. Called the front office manager who was able to remedy the situation by giving me a free nigh. The only good things about this place is the free wifi..
The check out lady was rude and the house keeper broke our door
The check out lady was rude as can be. As me and the wife where laying watching tv enjoying our time away from home the housekeepers came she knocked we refused service (we had do not bother sign on door) she kept knocking and trying to open the door with a key card the top lock was on and after I yelled hey I said no! She still tried. She left and I called the front desk she said she will talk to her a few minutes pasted and it still didn’t sit right with me so My wife went down to talk to her while she was explaining everything the front lady kept calling my wife and I liars that nothing happened.: it was so bad we are never coming here again
Made reservation for room type I wanted two and half weeks ahead, day of arrival room not available, no apology, no how can we make it right, just no room. Ended up with room type I did not want, crowning blow next morning no hot water in shower. No one answered desk phone, went down and finally found someone whose response was he would put it on the list for mainetance when they arrived later that day.
