    Avoid this place

We stopped because La Quinta’s are dog friendly and we have always had good luck with La Quinta. This place was terrible! We left after checking in and went down the road (and paid considerably more) to the Drury Inn. The place was in a state of disrepair. The concrete steps were crumbling. The area for taking your dog was unmoved and overgrown with thistle and other weeds. There was a group of younger men hanging out and drinking by the dog area. We did not feel safe here, so we just left and chalked up the wasted money to experience. La Quinta should pull their name off this place. It is a total dump.

    Avoid! Dirty!

I found this hotel on my AAA app and reserved it online because it was a good deal, dog friendly, and non smoking. When we walked into our room, the smell of cigarettes knocked me down, and there was no microwave or fridge as stated in the room description. I had the room changed and it smelled better but it was still very run down and there was dirt on my bed. We were tired from driving and decided to tough it out but the walls were so thin we could hear the people next to us talking all night. I left tired and feeling dirty. I will never stay there again.

Great hotel in a good area of Amarillo TX.

This was day 2 of a 25 day trip. La Quinta hotels always offers great and comfortable rooms especially for guests that travel with their dog. The staff was very friendly a d the facility was extremely clean. Definitely would recommend!

We were just passing through for the night and got two rooms. The hotel is dated and a bit run down. Tubs were stained so it was hard to tell how clean it was. Exterior in rough shape. Price was fair. Front desk was great. Hotel is just way overdue for a reno.
