Overrated
Traveled over Easter weekend to visit family that lives in the area. I had heard wonderful things about the resort but it did not live up to the expectations. The hotel was extremely crowded. I have traveled at peak times before to places that although they are at max capacity, you don't feel it. This was not the case. Everywhere felt busy and congested. The pools were a mob scene. Loungers are packed in tightly and if you aren't claiming them early you are out of luck. Beach- Very pretty, but it is extremely wide, so it's a long walk to get to it. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Also not practical with young kids. Service - overall was below average to average. Spa - pretty but expensive and staff was not all that friendly. Room - Average size with rooms showing wear and tear. We did a few of the kids activities which were ok but staff seemed under prepared and not engaging. My 3 year old did a paint a hat activity we got there around 945 for an activity that was supposed to go from 930-11 and we got the last hat. I saw them turning away lots of disappointed kids. The paints were not opened in advance by staff and one exploded all over my hand and my son. When I asked if they had a paper towel they said "no but the bathroom is over there". I had an entire handful of paint and I was alone with a 3 year old, needless to say I was pretty irritated. How does resort set up a paint activity for kids without any materials for clean up?? In my opinion this resort is overrated and overpriced. It worked for what we needed but would not recommend. The Ritz in Naples in much nicer and only slightly more expensive.

Disappointed and Unfair
Shame on you JW Marriott. My family came during a very busy spring break week. This is our 4th time coming here over the last 8 years. I waited in line for 1.5 hours to get a “good spot” on the beach. Much of the chairs on the beach are behind these day bed set ups that block your entire view of the ocean. To rent these set ups it costs more than $700 this week. A different week I noticed it was less than half. Other front row chairs (same as the regular chairs) cost $200. I noticed some people coming from an area away from the people working there taking chairs while 60+ people waited in line. Very disorganized and not fair!

MUST do the photo experience through Photo Concierge!
My husband and I spent a week at the JW Marco Island for spring break with our two daughters, my mom and my grandma. I saw the photo experience on the website and booked it on a whim just hoping to get some family photos at the end of our trip. Chris absolutely exceeded all expectations and was such a blessing! We had 4 generations and Chris was SO excited to photograph this! My grandma is not very mobile, but Chris was so patient and accommodating every step of the way! He even ran down the beach to get a sand wheelchair to get her on the beach with us! We have a group that hates to be photographed but he made everyone feel so comfortable and made the entire experience so fun and memorable. We are SO thankful for this experience, for Chris and for having the photos to cherish for a lifetime! SO grateful!!!! I HIGHLY recommend you book this while there!

Siren swim up
Services, this facility is amazing! Our helper at the beach Shawn, in the sirene section took care of us, seated us well… Set an umbrella for a little bit of shade. It was amazing .....an amazing view of the water. The water here is so pretty not to mention the tasty cocktails and the delicious food.
