Perfect for Family with kids/teens
We had a fantastic time at Hyatt Ziva. Food was great, staff was attentive and kind, entertainment staff made for a lot of fun for my 3 kids ages 15, 13, 9. Teen's club was fun and I appreciate all the games like pool and ping pong - not just video games. Please, bring lots of $1 bills to tip as you order drinks. The staff work so hard and I see so many people not tipping. We tip $1 per drink, and $5-20 at each meal. Then of course, leave tip for housekeeping at the end of your stay. It's not much but these guys are hustling all day and they really appreciate it and treat you well right back. I would say if you are looking for a quiet peaceful resort, this might not be it. The mornings are quiet and you can go down to the ocean to get away from the noise, but it is entertainment, games, and music at the pool most of the day - my kids loved it so I was happy with it. The new gym is awesome with top of the line equipment, and lot's of space.

Nice but far from a luxury hotel
The staff at Hyatt Ziva is incredible—friendly, helpful, and kind. The people working here are definitely the resort’s strongest asset, and we truly appreciated their service throughout our stay. The public areas of the hotel are lovely, and the resort never felt overcrowded. We rented a cabana by the pool, which was wonderful. It came with four loungers (two in the sun and two shaded, inside the pool), and that setup was fantastic. Food and drink service to the cabana was generally attentive and pleasant. I also want to give a special shoutout to Hugo, the pool manager, who was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. That said, this was our second time staying at an all-inclusive resort, and we’ve come to realize it’s probably not the right fit for everyone. The overall feeling at the resort is that there’s no real management presence—no one truly in charge. If something doesn’t work, there’s really no one to turn to. I tried contacting the hotel before our arrival, and it was nearly impossible. When I asked for the name of the hotel manager, they refused to provide it. We upgraded to Club Level rooms, but honestly, it was not worth the additional cost. What you get in return is minimal and somewhat ridiculous. Our room smelled musty, the shower pressure was very weak, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. I spoke with the front desk about it, and while they did fix the toilet, no one ever followed up with us about the weak shower flow or the musty odor. The air conditioner was extremely loud, though ironically it helped drown out the constant noise coming from outside. Personally, I didn’t enjoy the food. Nothing felt high-quality or particularly tasty. In fact, during the last two days of our trip, we chose to eat at a nearby supermarket and Starbucks instead. We came with our daughter and two of her friends. They had a great time, and I think that demographic is really the target audience for this place. They especially loved the DJ and were really excited about his performances—so much so that they wished they could see more of him during their stay. However, the teen club was very disappointing and didn’t offer much at all. At check out we weren’t asked how was our stay or cared much about our experience. To conclude, this is a lovely hotel but NOT US level 5 stars hotel.

Anniversary vacation worth every penny!
The staff was friendly at every turn you went on the property. Each one ready to assist with whatever the needs were. From drinks to towels at the pool to water at the gym to napkins at the restaurants, every staff member was fantastic! If you are looking for a place to get away for any stretch of time I highly recommend Hyatt Ziva!

Staff is very professional
All of the restaurants are amazing! The staff is so polite and professional. The pools and activities are great for kids and adults. We had a drink at the Martini Lounge and Alexi and Alfredo were amazing! My family enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend vacationing here.

Fun, Family 4* All Inclusive
Overall a positive experience but understand what you are booking - this is a large family friendly 4* all inclusive resort in Mexico. The hotel reminded me of a large cruise ship with lots of people (chairs were taken by 8:15am), ongoing entertainment & activities, lots of dining options, premixed drinks. But what really shined was the servers at the specialty restaurants and some of our meals. We really enjoyed the Seafood restaurant and the Dozo Teppanyaki restaurant was a fun experience for the kids. We never got to experience the Italian because of the 1.5 hour wait. But most nights we had no problem. The entertainment staff at the pool were very energetic and fun and we enjoyed water aerobics and pool volleyball daily! If you are looking for a quieter experience, the beach was lovely (although the chairs are too far for a nice ocean watching experience - can't swim at this beach), or the adult pool (which sadly we never made it to, but from our room we could tell it was a chill vibe, but no view of the ocean). This hotel could use some upgrades and work on process efficiencies (very confusing ordering systems at the Coffee Shop & Grill). But decent option for families with young children and groups.
