Under renovation is an under statement

Under renovation. What a joke. It was a construction site. They were getting ready for the grand opening and staying there the day before was awful. The only area we could use was our room and the pool. Anything else we had to leave the property. The quality control on the renovation is poor we had to move rooms due to the shower not draining. The quality of the renovation is poor. On the surface it looks great, but if it was my house they would be redoing it. The bathroom tile looked like a volunteer had a go at installation. I felt I needed a hard hat and vest during our stay. Walking in and out of the hotel was challenging due to the amount of workers. They were no signs telling you where to enter and exit so you would leave the hotel and come face to face with someone power washing the sidewalk and have to dodge the muddy spray. Our rental car was covered in dust by the overzealous leaf blowers. Probably the worst hotel stay I’ve experienced. I’m sure it’s great now it’s the Grand Hyatt, but the days before were awful.

    Great Hyatt property and Staff!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! We relaxed by the brand new renovated pools with some food and drinks. The staff here is truly amazing! I can’t wait to see the hotel when it’s fully transitioned into a Grand Hyatt!

    Massive/major construction

This hotel is going under a major and massive renovation. Getting in and around the hotel is like walking through a corn maze. The noise and the dust was completely unacceptable. We were told that there would be no construction over the weekend. That was a lie. The construction noise was so loud you could not even have a conversation at the pool. The dust completely filled all of the hallways and the makeshift lobby. This hotel even had the nerve of charging a $35 a day resort fee and $45 a day parking fee. There were no signs directing you to self park. the restaurants were either closed or set up in a makeshift conference room. Hyatt should be ashamed of charging these exuberant fees while they’re undergoing major renovation I will not return nor will. I recommend a Hyatt Regency resort.

    Anniversary Trip

Tough to do a full review due to the hotel being under a total renovation. Renovated pool was amazing. All hotel staff were amazing, especially the pool staff. They were very helpful and attentive. They made the stay memorable, you don’t see that type of commitment to service very often. Due to the construction, we were awakened about 6am each morning.
