    Try Hilton Providence

I stayed 4 nights at the Hilton Providence because my team was there for the NCAA March Madness men’s basketball tournament. The only reason I’m rating Hilton Providence 4 star is because the hotel is undergoing a major renovation and some aspects are frankly a little tired. Otherwise I’d rate 4.5-5 stars! Don’t believe all of those negative reviews! The front desk staff, restaurant staff, and housekeeping staff provided friendly and professional service. My room on the third floor was somewhat updated, but still reflected on older property. Some in our group and I had significant problems with the hotel internet, but part of that may have been my laptop needing a Safari update. (I had similar problems with an older Hampton Inn the week before.) Perfect place for attending events at the Amica Mutual Pavilion, literally a quick walk around the corner. Also pleasant 5-10 minute walk to Italian restaurant district, where we twice found delicious casual dining. My family ate several times for lunch and dinner at the hotel’s Vig sports bar restaurant, decent menu and reasonably priced food with good service, wait staff remembered patrons. If you don’t want the breakfast buffet, you can easily go to the Starbucks in the building. In summary, the conveniences and nice staff outweigh the outdated decor. (Manager Richard, I told you I’d write a nice review.! Nashville Girl cheering McNeese State)

    Do Better!!!

We booked this hotel as part of a group for a travel volleyball team. All I can say is that our experience was absolutely AWFUL! The front desk staff is RUDE. The waitstaff at the Vig, RUDE! We arrived on a Friday and left on a Monday and housekeeping did not even come once. And no, we did not have a "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door. I did the early check-in via the app and upon arrival at 4pm, the room was not ready. They placed us in another room and brought up a fridge that had dents in it. The drawers in the bathroom were broken and did not open. We had to call maintenance to open them up. Hilton should be ashamed to be associated with this location. Disappointed is an understatement. They clearly need to do better and I can guarantee that next time our team travel to Providence, we will not be booking with them.

    Bedbugs/Intimidation By Staff

A month ago (November 13), I had the worst experience of my travel history. I'm a travel consultant/influencer and have dealt with many hotels over the last 7 years. I observe many hotels as part of my work (noting poor customer service and cleanliness concerns, so the companies can improve), but this stay, I had a reservation because I had a physical therapy appointment the following day in Cranston, RI, for my neurological and neck injuries, which I had to cancel and was charged $100, because I was kicked out of the hotel, by a maintenance worker, because I observed the following negligence - 3 rooms, 4th floor, 9th floor, 6th floor, all rooms had bedbugs and musty odors (which also indicates bedbugs). Providence Hilton management/workers continue to deny/lie about these claims, despite my seeing the bedbugs under my iPhone magnifier, running over a live bedbug with an iron, causing blood to squish out of it. As well as a Hilton GM from another property confirming it. Also 2 out of the 3 elevators were broken, and the one that was running was an expired license (which was reported to the chief inspector of the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, as well as the City of Providence Mayor's Office and the Providence Inspections and Standards for the unsanitary conditions.) After I came down from the first room, the woman at the front desk said, "This is the first time I'm hearing about this," which is an odd response, also both maintenance workers had smug looks on their faces. The 2nd time I came down from the other room, the woman at the desk said, "Those aren't our sheets." Really? What kind of a defense is that? In an email management lied - Additionally, we reviewed the photos you provided, and while we appreciate you sharing them, some appear to depict details that don’t match our property. - They're the mattress pads/toppers! - And then she went on to say, "I don't think you took those photos today." They are timestamped. While in the 3rd room, the maintenance guy barged in and said, "I just called the police on you, you're going to have to leave!" Wow! That's beyond unprofessional and defensive. He knew I caught many violations and decided to intimidate me into leaving. I waited for the police to arrive and he admitted he never even called them. I'm disabled and autistic and walking around Providence, in the dark (I don't see well in the dark), with my forearm crutch, was a very scary situation. The next morning I woke up with a bedbug bite on my right foot. I have never been treated so badly. Providence Hilton/The Prociccanti Group needs to be held accountable for their actions. I find it incredibly insulting for them to continue to deny and gaslight what happened. It's a slap in the face. I know what happened. I'm experiencing PTSD because of all this. Another manager lied saying I wasn’t charged (I was!) I attached the invoice they sent and my bank statement. Was it worth it to lie, deny, intimidate, etc? Consumers have more power than you realize. I will never stay at another Hilton property. You didn't just lose me, you lost all my followers online now and in the future.

    Stay fell short

Positive: Smooth check in, friendly female staff member (didnt catch her name). Convienet parking and great location in providence. Walk to many locations. Negative: Hallways on 3rd floor smelled musty. Outdated room that were not the cleanest. (Peeling wallpaper, walls need cleaning) Charge of 3$ for water in the room!! Although it was sufficient for a 1 night stay would choose another hotel if staying multiple nights. Not likely for us to choose this hotel again.

    Great for corporate event

We held an event for 75 people in the Rosemoor Ballroom. Event went great. Brandon Parker was our hotel contact and was a pleasure to work with and took care of all of our needs. All went well from AV to room set up to food. I would recommend holding a corporate function at this space and to work with Brandon.
