The Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando is completely smoke-free. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor locations. A $200 cleaning fee will be added to the guests' folio for smoking in the guest rooms.
There is a mandatory daily fee for self-parking.

Great place to stay for business conference. Comfortable meeting rooms and very attentive service at meals. Rooms were extremly comfortable and had coffee and refrigerators in place. Great location with excellent access to the parks and City Walk. Parking very high cost.

Just an overnight stay!
Just back from Orlando April 2025. We had initially rented a villa in the Davenport area but with the state of the traffic problems on the i4 and the fact that we have younger children who didn't want to get up early every morning, meant that we were often arriving at the parks just before lunchtime, so we decided to book an overnight stay at the Hard Rock Hotel to allow us to get in to universal parks earlier than we otherwise would have. Only having an overnight stay meant that we didn't get to fully explore the hotel, so can't comment on a lot. What I can say is that it was spotlessly clean. The family rooms were a good size with two queen beds. The mattresses and pillows were divine. I could have booked another night for these alone. Just for reference, my mattress at home is Harrison Spinks and we found the Hard Rock Hotel mattress more comfortable to sleep on. There was a wet room with toilet and basin and also a basin with mirror external to this, which was very handy for others to use when getting ready to go out. A decent hairdryer is provided in the room and also a coffee making facilty. There is a water shuttle to Universal City Walk but if you'd rather walk and want to get there quicker, it's only five minutes walk from the entrance to Universal Studios theme park. I'm not sure if it's me but the water shuttle's engines seemed a lot noisier than I remember from a previous stay. Maybe I'm just getting old! The check-in staff were extremely helpful. If they didn't know the answer themselves, they would go out of their way to find it for you. When we go back, we'll be booking a longer stay at the Hard Rock and less time in a villa.

Definitely Recommend Hard Rock Hotel
Amazing service, staff is very friendly, clean rooms. Short walk to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Family friendly. I definitely recommend Hard Rock Hotel and will stay here again. It is worth staying here for the Express pass.

Woke up at 9am both mornings to the sound of jackhammering directly above our room, that lasted till around 5pm. When I complained they apologized and said parts of the hotel were under construction and they were working to enhance the guest experience. I would not recommend staying here until the construction has been completed. It was very annoying and not an enjoyable experience.

My family and I checked in to the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando today. We booked an interconnecting king room and two queen bed room with pool views. We booked this room back in August 2024, when planning our three week trip to Florida from England. When we opened the door to our rooms we discovered they did not overlook the pool like we had booked, but a dirty discoloured roof. After returning to reception to complain that we had not been given the rooms we had booked, we were told ‘it’s Spring break. We are busy so we had to downgrade you’. Completely unacceptable! The only form of compensation given has been a $50 gift card for the gift shop! Before arriving at the hotel we noticed how much our original pool view room had increased in price since we originally booked it last August. Clearly the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando has given our room to another guest at a much higher rate. Downgrading us to look at mouldy roof, rather than giving us the room we booked. Prior to our arrival here we stayed at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Orlando. We had such a better experience. We stayed in the room we booked and payed for. Staff were so helpful and courteous throughout our one week stay. We will never book a hotel room at Hard Rock Orlando again. Clearly profit is priority over guest satisfaction. We now have five nights looking at an awful view, while another guest enjoys the room we booked. Disgraceful.
