Small Rooms, Great Location
Think of this hotel as your typical suburban Hampton Inn flipped on its side. The rooms are typical small NYC hotel rooms but if you aren't spending much time in them they are fine. The location is excellent if you have business around grand central and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance up 2nd ave.
Most disgusting hotel 🏨 I’ve ever stayed in
Dried up spit on elevator. Fingerprints all over elevator. Stains on carpet. Juice or blood on floor by check in. Unsavory characters. Front of hotel has trash. I don’t know if housekeeping works on weekends. Considering we are in the era of COVID this unnerved me like you wouldn’t believe. I’m shocked that this is a Hilton property looking like this. I’m a gold member and have stayed all over USA and international. Never, ever have I run into something that looked like this. I saw this same room on Groupon for sixty dollars on a Saturday night FYI. I would’ve took more pics but didn’t want to ruin the trip for the other person. Also, there is no grab and go breakfast. You as a guest are allowed to grab what you’d like. Doesn’t feel safe at all! Positives Elevator is super quick ride! Air conditioning is super cold! Bed and pillows were soft! Water pressure was great! Neutrogena products available. Free toiletry Kit if you forget your toothbrush and toothpaste.
Had to Cancel due to the world wide virus
As many travellers have had to cancel holidays due to the virus. I want to share with you my experience in getting refunds during this time. Once we became aware we could not leave Australia, this Hotel was the first in America to give us a refund. Once our travel agent contacted them they quickly refunded even though we had paid up front for a non-refundable booking. Other hotels and airline held on to our money for over 6 months before we got a refund. We chose this Hotel based on reviews from Tripadvisor. The fact they refunded quickly shows that this is a very ethical Hotel that I would assume would be reflected in the staff service and care for customers. Even though we did not get to see New York this year, I thought I should share this with people who like myself believe in treating travellers well leads to a better travelling experience and a desire to return.
the hotel close to the bus and the train they have lots of restaurants in the area. I wish they have microwave and refrigerator in the room,staff was very nice they didn't have a pool neither the price was not bad
Staff made us feel like family - very much appreciated
My mother and I stayed here several times at the start of 2020 (pre-COVID) when my mother had to have some out patient surgery in the city. The front desk staff was amazing - they made sure all our needs were met and went above and beyond with their hospitality and service. Super clean rooms, great breakfast, and met all of our extra requests (fridge in room, etc). Right up the street from Grand Central. My wallet was taken by another guest (long story) during the stay and the staff were all so supportive for the 24 hours it was missing. Special shout outs to Imelda Castilla, Keila Rivera, Ashley C, Corinthia and Borna. My mother and I will never forget you ladies and will definitely book any NYC stays at your hotel. Sorry it took me so long to write this review!
