First time in Nashville
Checked out a lot of hotels online, settled on the embassy suites Vanderbilt #1- I wanted to be downtown, but downtown prices where higher & the shuttle brings you there & back #2- there's a lot of places to eat & drink near the hotel Once we got there very helpful and friendly front desk, nice large rooms, open atrium layout Evening social hour, great breakfast in the morning. I would like to give a shout out to the manager Hannah, very nice, friendly & made us feel welcome & all of the staff, breakfast, evening, shuttle staff Would definitely stay again

Hilton Customer Service should be named CUSTOMERS DON"T MATTER TO US. So don't fill out surveys because we don't care...
We have stayed at this property several times in the past year, as my wife had major surgery at Vanderbilt. The property is conveniently located near the hospital. They give you a better rate IF you know to ASK and tell them that you're staying because of medical reasons. Like I mentioned we have stayed there several times this past year. If you check in virtually they will let you select your room and will send you the key electronically on your phone, you have to use this key to get into the parking garage if you are self parking. Only one problem the E key does not work and has not worked ever when we have stayed there. I mentioned this to the front desk staff on my last visit because when you approach the gate at the garage if you can not get in you have to backup into Main Street traffic, and this time someone came in behind me, so they had to back up to let me out. The front desk agent said when I told him what happened. "Oh yea that gate never works with the E key" as he chuckled. So once we went to our room it was around 5:30 pm the room had a very musty smell, so my wife went to the front desk and asked for a can of lysol and a extra bed sheet and pillow. The clerk said "Oh it's after 5:00 and housekeeping has gone home for the day, So No I can't get those for you". We went back down and asked the same clerk for an extra sheet and pillow, he turned around went in the back and came out with a sheet and pillow.?? When we opened the sheet it was a crib sheet and it was soiled. So we went to our car and got our own sheets. The next morning when I took a shower I grabbed a towel and it was dirty, went through the others and found one that seemed to be clean. After checking out electronically and arrived home I checked my bill and found that I was billed twice for self parking, once for$37.00 and a second time for $40.42. I called the property and the clerk that I spoke with said "Oh yea that happens all the time" if you pay for parking when you reserve the room we just bill you upon check out so it's a good thing you check your bill". WHAT THE H__L. Really. So I get a survey a few days later I fill it out and they send me a response. Thank you for participating in our Stay Survey at the Embassy suites by Hilton Nashville at Vanderbilt.we are very sorry to hear of your experience. The feedback you have shared with our team is instrumental in ensuring that the hotel improves on their commitment to provide a positive experience. should you need anything further relative to case #233318317 ,please reply to this email. Well I replied to the email and they sent me another email. That said "We apologize for the experience faced. Please provide the conformation number of the booking or the full name of the hotel, check in and check out and the primary guest's name for us to locate your reservation". I did all od that and more ,they never have contacted me.

Perfect hotel in many ways
This entire hotel was wonderful. The bed was comfortable. The employees were all awesome, especially te drivers of the shuttle. The breakfast items were always fresh and hot. Yes, there a a small hot tub inside the exercise room that is hot and working. (Not as hot and strong as I prefer but…). There is a nice outdoor sitting area off the end of the 3rd floor hallway that seems like it would be a great area to relax in in good weather. Many great restaurants within a block or two to walk to. The free shuttle will take you down to just a block from the Ryman theater. And pick you back up there too.

Big place, open atrium, better breakfast than most. Use Digital Key.
Was in town for a one day meeting and wanted something near the highway but not a highway hotel. This fit the bill. The parking situation makes using the digital key a must. Otherwise you will spend your arrival going up and down elevators and walking in and out as guest parking is floor 3 and higher in the garage, but you can't enter the hotel without a key. A good thing but a need to know as well. My room was nice. Clean, comfortable, and newly appointed. TVs were newer and the Internet was fast. Only complaints were the mattress needed turning (the dreaded bathroom side dip) and the HVAC was either non-functioning or just noisy as heck while trying to work. Also a bit of road noise for an 11th floor room. Breakfast was better than most Embassy Suites. More selections and better prepared. Kudos to the chef and staff.

Great location and awesome staff
Checkin was a breeze. The front desk manager DJ was phenomenal and made our emergency trip to Nashville less stressful. We had to make an emergency trip to the hospital for my dad for open heart surgery. The hotel was located less than 2 miles away. Garth from the restaurant was also very hospitable and personable when we dined at the restaurant late on our first night. There was a lady name Valerie who worked the night shift at the front desk and she was AMAZING! She accommodated our needs late one evening when we needed plates for a pizza we ordered out. The very next night she also went above and beyond in making our kids feel welcome at the property with some gifts! These small gestures makes a world of a difference and makes customers become loyal to the brand! Don't ever get rid of Valerie! She represents Hilton very well! I highly recommend this property as the staff goes above and beyond your needs. Not to mention, our toilet had plumbing issues on day two and we were immediately moved to a room right next door without any questions. That made it very convenient. The breakfast was good in the mornings too. Just know that parking is about $38 for self and valet is even more. No pool on the property but it has a gym and hot tub. Location is in a prime area with lots of locally owned eateries within walking distance. They also have their daily reception from 5pm-6:30pm Thanks Hilton Embassy Suites
