Food was amazing from the palafitos restaurant. 2 months later we can’t stop talking about it. The staff was way more than helpful and very attentive to our needs. They over did all of our expectations. Book the private room for dinner and request fresh coconut drinks early is a little tip. $5s and $1s are good to bring.
Not only is this an amazing place we went just before the pandemic escalated and they bumped us up to a Casita. The people there were amazingly nice and helpful. We've been on other trips and cruises and this was by far the best treatment we've ever received. Can't wait to save up my money and do it again!
This was our 2nd visit and we enjoyed it even more than the first time. We love walking on the beach. The entertainment was very good. We especially enjoyed Dana Kennedy. The entertainment staff was a lot of fun! Alex, Ferdy baby, and particularly Rafael made sure we were having a good time and that we were aware of the various shows and activities. The food is truly gourmet. We always enjoy the Mexican Fiesta night. Let's not forget the service. Oscar at night and Sergio during the day looked after our needs. Daisy catered to our needs at the beach and as a butler in training. Our one complaint is the Dinner Reservation system. How can it confirm dinner reservations at restaurants that are closed! Twice in 1 week for us, and we heard the same from others. Overall, we loved it and will definitely be returning!
We stayed one week at this fantstic hotel! The beach was great, the room we stayed in was great! The different restarurants were great, apart from the Mexican, which was really bad! One thing we noticed with all the restaurants is that they are understaffed, which means that the service isn't as good as it can be. We especially want to thank the beach bar persons, Rene and a lady who's name we unfortunately have forgotten. Fueron bien chidos! Iréne y Peter de Suecia
Always wonderful El Dorado Maroma
El Dorado Maroma has been our "go to" favorite for a number of years. The beautiful and secluded location, the beach, the wonderful welcome and service; it's hard to ask for more. While still a fairly small resort, with several room choices, all have their own charm, as simple or as luxurious as you wish, offering a feeling of privacy and calm. The staff are professional and helpful from the moment you arrive. Each restaurant offers a la carte and the food is of a high standard. Long time Maitre d' Agustino in particular sets a bar for the entire resort in terms of service and chefs Eduardo and Rodrigo take obvious pride in their kitchens. "Team Activities", Alex, Wendy, Omar and Herve, along with Beach Butlers Manuel, Eli and Enrique ensure days are perfect. Spa service just gets better and always a treat to see Daniel and Eva and massage team members Jorge and Whlmar. All around, we can't wait to go back.
