Not the Vacation We Expected
Review of Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort Reviewed yesterday Not the Vacation We Expected We recently stayed at Dreams Vista Cancun, and while there were some positives, overall, it wasn’t the relaxing experience we were hoping for. The Good: The staff is extremely courteous and polite—every interaction we had with the team was warm and professional. They truly do their best to make guests feel welcome. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by a lengthy and unexpected sales pitch. Upon check-in, we were invited to the “preferred lounge” and offered a dinner at the rooftop restaurant, spa treatments, and other perks. We were assured it wasn’t a timeshare presentation—yet we were stuck for over two hours, saying no repeatedly to several different salespeople pushing their “unlimited vacation” program. It was exhausting and not the welcome anyone wants on vacation. The hotel itself feels somewhat dated, especially the rooms. They are not up to the standard that I was expecting, but we made the most of it. Our mini fridge was supposed to get restocked daily, which that didn’t happen. Due to the architectural design of the hot, the wind gusts are extreme and constant, making it hard to enjoy any outdoor space comfortably. Even the nightly entertainment by the pool is affected, as it's located in the windiest part of the resort. The winds were the real kicker but we friend to make the best of it, although one day we left and spent the day at Isla Mujeres, which is a short ferry ride and the port is super close to the hotel, definitely recommend doing that. Drinks were quite watered down, and carbonation was nonexistent unless a fresh bottle was opened right in front of you. The food was what you’d expect from an all-inclusive resort: average, nothing memorable. As for the “fine dining” experience at Vista Prime on the rooftop. While the ambiance and service were lovely, the food didn’t live up to the hype or compare to a true high-end steakhouse. The beach was another letdown. If you're expecting the typical stunning Cancun beach, this isn't it. It's small, murky, and full of coral-like debris. The entry into the water is rocky, making it difficult to enjoy even the hammocks in the shallow water. Final Thoughts: This wasn’t the hotel we envisioned. Between the high-pressure sales, windy conditions, and underwhelming amenities, we left feeling disappointed. While the staff was great, we wouldn’t return or recommend Dreams Vista Cancun

Mexico Trip 2025
The staff here was amazing. They took care of our every need and were always welcoming and friendly. Brian and Alvin at the pool & beach bars kept cold cocktails in our hands and were so nice to our group. Estella in house keeping made sure our room was clan and well stocked each day.

wont go again.
Management dose not honor any of the leisure cash. Once during checkout, and presented them with the leisure cash, they did not accpet it and said it was late presented. Did not get house keeping once all trip. I also tipped well over $900 in 5 night stay, to receive poor service.

Staff does not care
It’s what to expect at an all inclusive. Took three days to resolve me not having hot water. Had to personally take the staff to my room to resolve issue. The solution was to turn the knob to the coldest setting and it would eventually get hot. No compensation or upgrade provided to due to this issue. Staffing did not care to communicate with me. They had my personal number at all times to communicate or follow up and did neither.

Amazing Entertainment Team
The entertainment team was so fun and friendly. They made our vacation 10 times more enjoyable. Ruby, David and Erik were always having fun and showing us how to best enjoy our time in Cancun. The whole vacation was great. Reservations were tricky to book and there weren’t a lot of options for dinner. But everything else was great.
