Absolutely wonderful, the staff is very accommodating and thoughtful! The rooms are clean and comfortable. We came for a quick trip and can’t wait return. We got the best recommendations from the staff, for restaurants and tours! It felt like I knew everyone even though we were hotel guests!

Don't ever stay at the Crown Plaza Astor in French Quarter. Here's why ... Homeless people on the street greet you. Then there were bums picking up discarded cigarette butts in front of the hotel. There is no bathroom in the lobby, a crappy $24 breakfast buffet, saggy furniture in the lobby, chairs really low to the ground. Upstairs, the carpet in the hallways are dirty and stained. The hotel is dated / tired. Our first room, broken (laying to the side) closet door, dirty floor, and dirty window. The second room had a running toilet, no hangers, A MOUSE 🐀 in my freaking room!!, leaky shower, dirty exhaust vents and stained linens. In all fairness, they were going to move my room again but I was done by then. Never ever stay at this hotel!! I also received no compensation for the troubles.

Immerse Yourself In The French Quarter
Located in the heart of the French Quarter, the Crowne Plaza Astor puts you within walking distance of numerous restaurants, shopping and street jazz entertainers. The property offers luxurious rooms and suits, has an amazing pool on the 3rd floor and a great restaurant on the first floor. The management is definitely customer centric, and I would like to personally thank Byron for making my daughter’s and my experience here so memorable.

Hotel won't get back to you if you have problems
The hotel charged me for a valet parking fee even though I didn't even have a car, and despite emailing and leaving multiple voicemails, nobody at the hotel will get back to me even after I threatened to dispute the charge with my credit card issuer, which I ultimately did. Look elsewhere if you want hotel management that cares about their customers.

Wouldn’t stay again . Sleepless nights . My room had sound barriers on windows ; my sisters did not . She had 3 sleepless nights Other hotels in the area offer free breakfast. Not even bottled water in the room & No microwave ! Staff was nice room was typical hotel rooms.
