Lots of space and the warmest pool ever!

My wife and I really enjoyed a three-night stay at this real gem of a hotel. The rooms are spacious and have allt he conveniences and the very extensive grounds are very clean and well-maintained. A real surprise, however, was the fact that their main swimming pool is possibly the warmest you will ever experience; for Valentine’s Day I think the pool temperature was probably about 82 degrees, which was real joy during the cool evening. The adjacent jacuzzi was equally impressive, not just for its warmth but multiple layers (upper body and lower body) of jets. The location of this facility, near the eastern end of Hotel Circle Drive, is ideal. You leave the grounds, enter eastbound Interstate 8 and almost immediately can be going south down Route 163 to Balboa Park, or north up Route 163 to Mission Valley Mall with lots of shops and a great food court and nearby impressive Civita Park (terraced gardens impressively overlooking the San Diego area) . The staff here are very friendly and professional. This very large resort is in very high demand each year around college graduation weekends. Try a mid-week or off-season stay here and you will really come to enjoy this wonderful hotel.

Pool and hotter were used by many of the guests staying at BW 7Seas

Overall satisfactory. Good location for shopping. No breakfast included in price. Restaurant was satisfactory. Staff was helpful. Bathroom paint on door was peeling and tub caulking could be improved. Bed was comfortable. Coffee maker in room,

    Not wheelchair accessible bathroom

We reserved a room with a roll in shower for 4 nights. Cons: The roll in shower did NOT have a built in seat. We asked for a shower chair and they brought up one of the really tiny seats that was missing several screws and was so loose and wobbly that a transfer to the seat was not possible. We tried to use one of the pool chairs but it was too low for me to transfer back out of. There was a broken slider bar for the hand held shower so there was not a way to mount the sprayer while using. The toilet was mounted in the middle of the bathroom so it was not close to a wall or grab bar on either side. No wheelchair accessible parking anywhere near our room (429). Pros: Bedside lamps had outlets built in with small rocker switches to turn on/off. Desk in room was wheelchair accessible. Lowered closet rod. Iron and Ironing board mounted within a lower reach. Water pressure from hand held shower sprayer was great. Had requested 2 extra towels (to use on the pool chair) and housekeeping was great about leaving these each day. Meh: The room, in general, was about what was expected from a Best Western. It was older and not super clean/fresh but would suffice for a place to sleep. There was about 32" clearance on each side of the bed in our Queen room. Heating system worked fine. Decent lighting. Could still hear noises in the parking lot but not a problem. There was a fridge in the room but we could not seem to get it adjusted to where it would not freeze a drink solid overnight. We did not use the pool, laundry or the restaurant. There did appear to be a bus stop about 1 block from the entrance to the hotel but it is a steep downslope to the road and then back up hill a bit to the bus stop. Would not stay here again due to the lack of shower/toilet accessibility.

    Not Worth It

The room we stayed in had not been updated in some time. There are two other Best Western hotels that are actually really close and had I realized how close they were I would have stayed there. Not worth it even if the rooms were $25 less per night. Felt more like a Motel 6. This hotel used to be nice and has great amenities but needs to have some money put into it or at least a good cleaning.

Way good hotel for the price level

we stayed here two nights and the hotel is very acceptable for a mid range hotel in San Diego. In fact, the $79 rate for a queen bed is unbelievably good. I was shocked when I saw how low the price was. The room is clean, well equipped. There's just nothing bad to say about them. There is coffee in the room. They don't offer a breakfast. It doesn't come with a breakfast, but there's free parking free Wi-Fi everything you would expect in a Best Western regular hotel. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful themed after Hawaiian with lots of outdoor area with a beautiful pool and lots of outdoor sitting areas. we can highly recommend this place for a stay in Mission Valley, San Diego
