    Bad experience this time

    Have been coming for 4 years without problem. Updated, clean room, dirty balcony, bad parking, great view. Booked 7 nights directly thru hotel. Checked in 7 nights, parking pass says 7 nights. Next day a couple walks into our room using key, and we were NOT dressed. Spoke with front desk and was told I only booked for 1 night. Why would I drive 13hrs. for 1 night? I showed my 3 different email conformations showing 7 nights. Was allowed to stay thank god. Next day, manager calls and tells me to come to lobby asap my card was declined. Wants payment now. Put on another card. Called CC company. My card was blocked because someone at hotel kept running it thru many times, so they suspected fraud and locked it. Went to front desk again to let them know my card was fine but was blocked because of running it thru many times, they blocked it for suspected fraud. Ward at front desk was very apologetic, offered half off a night and many extra points to be added to account. (Never got either) He told manager who I was, when she walked in. She said the problem with reservation was my fault. No apology for our horrible first 2 days of nothing but problems. Very cold person and not personable at all. While walking away, she threw up her arm and told him to give me 2000 extra points. Ward said you deserve and will get much more than that for all of the trouble caused by someone at the hotel. He even said to me, someone is going to be in big trouble for messing up your reservation. I did the survey after checking out and detailed all of the problems that we had. She replied back in a typical form letter, sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Hope you'll give us another chance and stay again. SERIOUSLY?? She did not adress on single thing or apologize. Filed a complaint with Best Western and they called me back saying that she was not giving me 1/2 off a night or all of the extra points. They were surprised also.. I wrote her in an email stating how disappointed we were with her response and with our stay. It was our 48th anniversary that was total stress the first few days of our stay. Still no reply from her. I'm sure if all of these things had happened to her during a hotel stay, she would NOT have been happy. It's very disappointing as we have stayed here several times without problems. Rooms are updated and are nice but this experience was totally unacceptable. We are Diamond Select members and stay at many BW hotels. Nothing like this has ever happened. But to not make it right is just bad customer service for your guests. ** Others complained about the man hounding you in the lobby to buy a time share*** I agree!! He wouldn't take not interested for an answer several times. I finally had to say, please don't ask again.

    Affordable, very clean, comfortable beds, would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting an ocean view from their room!

    An affordable, very clean newly renovated ocean view room and quiet room. Free breakfast, clean pool and easy access to beach stairs. Stayed two nights, it was easy access to everything. We would definitely stay here again. The staff were friendly and accommodating to anything we asked for.

    Great Stay, great location!

    We have zero negativity to say about our stay here. Pros: -Excellent customer service from time of checking in, during our stay and during -Large room -Entire hotel was clean and tidy -Good breakfast -Great location and felt safe Cons: The weather but can’t blame that on the hotel Definitely recommend this place and we will be staying here again.

    Not the place to stay in my opinion

    Terrible hotel. We couldn't stay here. Needs updated! Old furniture in our room with blood on the chair cushion and on the underside of the mattress along with what appeared urine stains. Old pizza boxes and beer boxes under the sink in the kitchen. The worst was the pornographic material between the mattress. The lady at the front desk was very nice and polite, the only good thing at this hotel. Couldn't get to our room before the gentleman in the office was following us to push a timeshare on us.

    House keepers are thieves!

    The staff is very dishonest, the cleaners stole out hanging clothes and then denied it ! The manager basically told me oh well ! Front desk clerks were totally rude ! I often use best western when working out of town ,never again ! Also both elevators were out .
