    Another Great Trip!

I tend to go to this resort (5th te I have been here) with my husband however this time I opted to go with a few girlfriends. This reort did not disappoint once again. The service from all staff...the food...the drinks..beach..pools etc were all impeccable. The staff are the most friendly I have ever been around...shout out to."crazy legs' he definitely keeps the party going! We had zero issues with our room. (Room 25625) and because we were in a triple occupancy room they had a very comfortable cot made up for us so we each got our own beds! The only suggestion I would give is that they used to do the nightly entertainment on the adult side. It.mimicked the grand side but was done at the chill out hut at night...although there is music.etc at lobby bar on our side it was disappointing that we had to go to the grande side for everything. I pay the eztra to be amongst adults and although I love children I chose to go on an adults side for a reason. They even used to do.movies under the stars on the luxury side. That being said the entertainment was great again just wish there was more on the adults side. I have read complaints from others on the reviews but I just dont understand as again this is my 5th time (and will be going back in November) and we have had nothing but a great time! I reccomend this resort to everyone(luxury side) and infact encouraged 2 other couples to go this year already and they loved it! I have also encouraged a big group to go in November! So.please don't read into the complaints too much..you will see that it's worth the money! Cant wait to return in November!

If you like mediocrity, this oversized hotel is ideal

The hotel is way too big, signage is poor. We stayed on 6th floor but lifts were not working which made it highly inconvenient. The food and drinks are made with poor quality ingredients, many of the staff are unaware of small details like if they bring you a coffee, there is no spoon or the coffee is lukewarm. Staff seem quite naive, they have not been invested in. I wouldnt stay again, I would not recommend

    Fantastic experience

The resort itself was stunning! An older property but very well maintained. The staff and service were exceptional. After check in we were greeted by Spicy D from customer experience. He gave us a complete rundown of the property and all of the amenities. The next day we met Ashdaine from customer experience. He became our go to guy. Once he found out that we were celebrating our 30th anniversary, he was quick to have champagne and chocolate sent to our room with an Anniversary banner on our door! Thanks Ashdaine for the exceptional customer service! The staff were always pleasant and smiling. From Adeque, the hostess at Jasmins buffet, greeting us every time with her beautiful smile to Crazy Legs one of the entertainers! We also had several chats with Omar, the guy that cleaned around the pool and deck area. He was always so pleasant. But the best of our experience came from Rushawn, the bartender in the lobby. He had so much talent in the way he served cocktails. Very efficient and a super personable guy. Our overall experience was fantastic. Would definitely go back!

    Amazing 10 Days!

My husband and I have traveled to Jamaica many times. This year we had to reschedule our resort because our original place was closing for renovations. I was a little leary because of the reviews that I was reading regarding Bahia. We could not have chosen a better place to spend our 10 days!! Garfield was amazing at the front!!! On the 2nd day we had a slight water problem, and Garfield immediately had this addressed and fixed. From the front of the house staff, to housekeeping, and all the hospitality staff we did not have one bad experience. Everyone was extremely nice and pleasant. Always smiling and saying hello. The food was also very good. For the individuals who stated they couldn't get reservations at the restaurants, we had no problem getting in to any of the places we wanted to. We did cancel some of the reservations because we like to go on our own day excursions and we never know when we will get back to the resort as we use our own driver. Plus the buffets were amazing!! We can't wait to see everyone next year :-)

Disappointing Stay — This Is Not a 5-Star Experience

Review: I was so disappointed with this so called 5 star hotel. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should be warned to not have to go through this expensive experience. From the moment we arrived, we had high hopes with the nice appearance but as I trip continued, it was clear this wasn’t what we were expecting. Check-in: The process was not clear and smooth. The front desk person doing our checkin named Tamika was not friendly or welcoming where it appeared we were bothering her and when we returned due to issues with the room she was not helpful and we had to work with someone else to correct the room. Overall, check in consisted with long wait times and little communication were we had to ask what is taking so long waiting over an hour to be checked in. Room: Our room was dated, poorly maintained, and far from clean. We paid for a two beds room and originally was given a one bed even though we paid a the extra fee. They even tried to provide us a rollaway twin bed a the additional bed even though we paid extra for two queen beds. The room was infested with mosquitoes even though we kept our balcony door closed and at the end of our stay covered in bites. The mini bar consisted of stale cheese crackers, one bottle of water, one can of beer and two bottles of soda. I’ve had been in 3 star resorts than this hotel. Food & Drinks: The “all-inclusive” food options were repetitive and lacked quality. The restaurants were not okay but impossible to get a reservation unless you book at least 10 days before your stay in which we did not know therefore we were stuck with only three reservations at 9pm. Drinks were watered down and used cheap liquor, when I requested a mid liquor which for the hotel was premium I was charged $8 per shot which was measured for a margarita drink which I might add was not good. The best bartender was Latoya who made the best drinks who we found towards the end of our trip. Facilities: The pool area was nice and had many pools to choose from but be careful very slippery to walk on. The pool towels were limited one per person and me personally I like two; one for the chair and one for me to dry with. The beach was not the crystal blue kind it had sea grass and seaweed which made it dark in color. Also I did not see any life guards at the beach so swim at your own risk. Service: Staff seemed indifferent, it was a hit or miss when being serviced. Some staff were great like Kemar aka Crazy Legs, Alexander and Latoya, others were not memorable or rude like Tamika at the front desk. Overall: This hotel might have been 5 stars once — maybe 10 years ago. Now, it barely passes for 2. If you’re expecting luxury, comfort, or attentive service, look elsewhere.
