Almost Perfect 3-Night Stay at Harrahs!
First of all, yes it was a comped room; however, I chose to upgrade for a reasonable additional charge. Of course, as a non-high-roller I also pay the resort fee. Checkin was easy, although rather than complete with the on-line checkin and kiosk, I actually got a better room by working with an excellent staff person who placed us in Valley View Room 29050. Excellent room with a terrific view of the Mirage and mountains in the background. Not to mention great view of the volcano display. Room was large, bath was well maintained and clean, nice seating, desk area, and TV. Only missing item might be a coffee maker. But hey, Starbucks is just downstairs. the casino had good gaming with several tables with minimums down to $10 during our Sat-Mon stay. We really like the Fulton food court area but Buddy V's also has Pizz A Cake now at Harrahs where you can get slices of great pizza and their award winning cakes. Had a few casino wins but nothing excessively large. Staff were all very friendly and efficient. I know it's difficult since Harrah's has easy access from the street but we were approached a couple times by vagrants and/or just plain pan handlers within the casino. Harrah's needs to up their game in controlling that issue. But, all things considered, we had a great time. Thanks!
Decent for One Night
So my boyfriend and I flew to Vegas super last minute due to a family health concern. Because of Covid, we preferred to just stay in a hotel not too far from his family/hospital. Didn’t want to spend so much for just a 1 day trip so harrahs was one of the cheapest and plus we really love Ruth’s Chris (it located inside hotel) unfortunately we did not care about our room nor check in service. We arrive a little early and they were going to charge a $60 fee if we wanted to check in before 4pm which I thought standard check in was 3! So we had to kill time. With the mountain tower, rooms aren’t any closets and the bathroom is kinda small. The shower doesn’t have a shower door so you’re literally just exposed and water can get on the floor. Pillows/bed was pretty comfy for the night. A little outdated but again it was decent for just the ONE night stay.
Very convenient location, just next to the Venetian and in front of Ceasars. The room was big and bathroom was huge. Everything was clean and comfy. I didn't like the fact that the resort fees are quite high and they include regular stuff any motel or hotel would include in the room price (wifi for instance). The parking was 15 per night, which is the same price regardless of whether you are a guest at the hotel or not. I would have appreciated a special price or discount price for the parking for hotel guests .
