Lovely Hotel
Secrets the Vine provides many amenities and a great experience. There is always something to see and do as staff is attentive and always ready to provide amusements, entertainment and fun conversation. Every day at the pool there is musical entertainment that you only see in the evening at most hotels. And it is different every day. One day there was a country band group that was so good you would think you had paid for a concert. Great fun. Then games were around all day if you wanted to participate. If not, it was just fun to watch others. 3 pools plus an upstairs preferred pool provided just about any sort of experience you wanted. Evening entertainment was plentiful and just as varied. Everywhere you went there was a choice to fit your taste. From the 2 sisters that were so funny and talented to a short display of opera one evening. It was just so professional and entertaining. Meals were very good. The Blue Water Grill and Dragons were our favorites. Lunch at Sea Salt Grill was always fun and very well done. From the waiters, Eduardo and Roberto, to the tuna appetizers and steak entrees. All of this right by the pool without having to change into shorts and shirts with sleeves as the restrictions in other hotels dictate. As with the other hotels along the Cancun beach, sargassum is present. But the hotel does a very good job sweeping it and you can still enjoy the water that is blue and clear. Rough in the morning but settles in the late afternoon. The entire beach line in Cancun is beginning to decrease but it is still a beautiful ocean. Sun rises are breath taking. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great resort but, things to know before yo go
We (sister and I) just got back from a stay at this all-inclusive resort and overall had a really good experience. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and with plenty of variety. The service was top-notch, with several staff members going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Special thanks to Yovani, Carlos (Capitán), and César at the Nebbiolo restaurant—truly outstanding. Also, big thanks to Alejandro and Rubi at the beach area, who were incredibly kind and attentive. The resort itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with great facilities. But there are a few things that could definitely be improved: •The beach area needs some love. The lounge chairs, umbrellas, and towels are old and worn, which doesn’t match the quality of the rest of the hotel. •The first-come, first-serve beach seating system is frustrating—especially for guests on vacation who want to sleep in. You basically have to wake up early to get a decent spot. •Noise in the hallways is another issue. Housekeeping starts early and can be loud in the corridors around 7 a.m. It really takes away from the relaxing vibe you expect on vacation. Maybe consider assigning early birds and late sleepers to different building areas. •Also, the hotel should be more transparent about being non-smoking. Smokers had to leave the hotel grounds entirely just to smoke, which was inconvenient and honestly unfair. •None of the restaurants take reservations, which wasn’t communicated clearly during booking. Be prepared for long waitlists, especially at peak times. All in all, a great place with incredible food and service—but there are a few details future guests should be aware of. With just a few changes, this resort could go from great to exceptional.

Stunning ocean views everywhere
Gorgeous ocean views from the balcony, plush comforyable beds and pillows. Upgraded to a huge delux suite. Check in process early and done within 15 minutes only had time to take a sip of my espresso martini in the preferred lounge before i was whisked away to my room and luggage delivered within minutes. Pools nicely kept, very few issues finding chairs. Shows were smaller and more intimate than other secrets resorts since there is no theater that may have been the only lacking thing, but did love the ambiamce of the piano bar.

Enjoyable relaxing trip
Had a great stay at Secrets the Vine. This was our first time staying in the hotel district but it was a good experience. We felt very safe at the location and enjoyed the service and food. We heard complaints from reviews and Facebook groups about poor Air Conditioning but this was not our experience at all. We had fantastic AC as did anyone we talked to. Food: The buffet was a bit on the smaller side but it was perfect for us. We genuinely enjoyed the buffet for lunch and breakfast. I typically get tired of buffets quick and I didn't at all with this one. The steakhouse was our favorite restaurant, but we also really enjoyed the view from the Italian restaurant. Admittedly, we didn't eat at any of the outside options because my other half gets too hot and prefers the AC. The resort has a narrow property, so everything is very easy to walk around and get to. Some of the staff members really went above and beyond to make this a great trip and wanted to recognize them. Blue Fish Grill: Waiters Gustavo and Jesus were both fantastic. We enjoyed speaking with both of them over the week and bartender Dany kept my wine glass full while we waited for a table! Bar Manatees: Servers Arturo and Roberto took such good care of us and worked very hard. Market Cafe Bar: Bartender Eulises spent time speaking with us and telling us about great places to visit including Isla Mujeres, which we made a point of getting to! The Vine Cafe: Barista Ixchel was an absolute pleasure and made coffees with a smile. She patiently allowed me to practice speaking Spanish and helped me when I fumbled. Gym Staff: Efra was such a professional and kind trainer and attendant. We were pleased to get to know him and have his expertise. Hostesses at the Buffet: Michelle and Nicole were so sweet and took great care of us all week, often remembering our names and making sure we had the best dining experiences at the buffet. Thank you to all!

Top notch Property and Staff!
Beautiful property, very attentive staff. Loved all the dining options and bars. Entertainment was very good as well. We upgraded to the Preferred Club Junior Suite the room was spacious with a beautiful view. And the added touches from the Concierge and Premium bar was great! We would definitely go back!
