Pool Closure
The pools will be closing for the season mid November, 2009. One pool, the South Lagoon Pool, will remain open and heated for the winter months along with two hot tubs in the same area.
Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act
Nevada voters have passed the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act that prohibits smoking in many indoor public spaces. As a result, the new statute permits smoking in only four areas: smoking designated hotel rooms, gaming areas of the casino floor, retail tobacco shops, and certain stand-alone bars and night clubs where food is not served.
Smoking is not permitted in any other indoor public space, including: restaurants, lounges where food is served, hotel lobbies, elevators, guest room hallways, theaters, arenas, arcades, retail stores, meeting and convention areas, and other indoor public spaces.
