BOARDING PROCEDURE

Each Customer will be issued a Security Document grouped by A, B, or C (in that order) based on time of checkin.

Customers will also be assigned a position within that group (For example: A35). This unique combination represents a reserved spot in the boarding group at the gate.

At the airport, present your flight tickets and Security Document at the ticket counter, skycap Podium (at select locations) or at the departure gate to receive your Boarding Pass.

When your flight is ready to board, your boarding group to be called, and you can find your designated place in line and board the aircraft.

Prior to general boarding, unaccompanied children between the ages of five and 11 and Customers with disabilities who have a specific seating need to accommodate their disability and/or need assistance in boarding the aircraft may preboard. Customers who choose to preboard cannot sit in an emergency exit seat.

Families traveling with a child four years old or younger will board between the "A" and "B" boarding groups, unless they have an "A" boarding pass. Those Customers holding an "A" boarding pass should board with the "A" boarding group.

Because Southwest Airlines maintains an open-seating policy, Customers may sit in any open or unclaimed seat. However, please note that, per Federal law, children under 15 years of age may not occupy seats in emergency exit rows.
