Excellent Customer Service
The resort was absouletly beautiful. The entire staff provided, from the moment you drove up and througout my stay was outstanding customer service. I would like to extend an appreciation to Chrisopher, at the front desk, who was exceptionally kind.

Home away from home
Im always incredibly comfortable in the rooms with plush bedding and balconies that overlook the beautiful and peaceful property. I was able to hike during my visit this time and pet the gorgeous horses in the paddock. The Grand is one of my favorite places in the world.

Poolside Rooms!
Great great poolside rooms. The location of the rooms was close to the spa and just inside the adult pool with a very fun private hot tub. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is top-notch. We love the restaurant Amaya and the lobby bar was super pleasant place to have pre-dinner drinks.

Five star all the way!
Wonderful 3 night stay at Grand Del Mar. Service is top notch all the way around. We traveled with our two dogs and staff was very accommodating. Hotel grounds are beautiful. Spa was fantastic. Enjoyed a glorious 2 hour massage. Can’t go wrong choosing the Grand Del Mar. We will be back!

Disappointed
We checked in and had to come back later for keys. The man at the desk wouldn’t give me the key, although the reservations were both in my name, until the man in the group got to the desk. We had two separate rooms. The room needs updating. The light switches and data ports are outdated and unattractive. The bathroom has cracking, missing caulk at sinks. The shower head was terrible. As usual, the showers and shower head are made for men only. The food at Amaya was mediocre but the prices were very high. The bar charged in upcharge for olives with a $20 martini. They charged for olives and nuts. The drink prices were some of the highest I’ve seen, then on top of that they put on ridiculous upcharges. The golf course was not in good shape at all. They were charging $350 and should have been about $90 with the bad condition. We were big Fairmont fans, but not anymore. Very disappointing. Will stick with the Ritz or Four Seasons in the future.
